A blind man took the train
to somewhere in Nova Scotia
That was me. At dawn,
where the Winds blew past the ocean.
A girl impedes and takes the seat
in a compartment filled with solitude,
the seat in front of me.
while being issued advisories
about where to keep
her belongings and to remain at her seat
throughout the journey.
I take note
and as the Trees move backwards slowly
I ask her if it was her first time on the tracks
and where she was going?
She replied Yes
just Yes, but with a sweet voice of nectar
nothing more, nothing less
how could simple words hurt like splinters?
I build up the courage and made the mistake
of asking her about the weather
she answered 'why don't you look out for yourself? '
to my own displeasure.
A strange feeling set in for the rest of the ride
Eventually the train halted and
she said goodbye.
the tantalizing smell of her hair
said goodbye
'You may Break, You may shatter the vase if you will,
But the scent of the roses will linger there still'
Another man walks in
Speaks of a tragedy.
What tragedy i ask?
of the prettiest girl on the train
blinded in both eyes\n\nEron Deka
