00:00Condominium owners and ICON residents Monkiara want DBKL's Commissioner of Buildings to attend

00:07immediately to their complaints following a court decision earlier this week. On Tuesday,

00:12the Kuala Lumpur High Court dismissed an application by IRMK's joint management body

00:18to stay an award made by the Strata Management Tribunal in April last year,

00:22pending a judicial review. The JMB wants the court to nullify the IRMK management

00:29corporation's first annual general meeting held on December 23, 2023, which elected a

00:35committee to administer the property. Proprietors told FMT the COB's office appeared to be distancing

00:42itself from issues surrounding the property, leaving unit owners and residents of the luxury

00:47condominium in a state of despair. Tee, a resident who pays RM600 in monthly maintenance fees,

00:55said she is shocked by the state of the property with mouldy interiors,

00:59poorly lit walkways, tiles held together by cellophane tape, and poor security.

01:06Meanwhile, ex-JMB committee member Zohilman Sulaiman said JMB had spent RM2.5 million

01:13on substandard painting that left many exterior metal surfaces not painted,

01:18and RM600,000 on a rooftop upgrade using substandard materials.

01:23Property manager Wang Yuping, hired by the management corporation last month,

01:28said it was shocking to see what the residents have been putting up with,

01:32adding that he has already engaged a contractor to repair leaks at four apartments and a car park.
