00:00Valenzuela City Mayor Wes Gatchalian continues to push for a settlement on the transaction between Mami Mili and the vendors.

00:08In fact, more than a hundred pieces of timber were broken in the city earlier.

00:23Princess, the local government of Valenzuela conducted an operation on the timber

00:28together with the Department of Trade and Industry to remove and destroy the timber that was caught wrongly.

00:37Under the leadership of Valenzuela City Mayor Wes Gatchalian,

00:41the Valenzuela LGU and several DTIs went around to inspect the timber in the market of Karuhatan earlier this morning.

00:50Although the timber was confiscated today, more than a hundred pieces of timber were caught during their six-month inspection in the market of Lungsod.

01:00And these were the ones that were destroyed earlier.

01:03According to Mayor Wes Gatchalian, he wants to push for a fair transaction between Mami Mili and the vendors.

01:12He will achieve this by starting the Timbangan ng Bayan Programme

01:17where he will place official weighing scales in the markets and conduct a random inspection here.

01:24The last vendors whose timber was caught wrongly will be fined P5,000 to P15,000.

01:33In the third arrest, the vendor can be removed from the business permit.

01:39The DTI will remind the public that if the timber was found in the market,

01:44it can be confiscated by the agency or their mayor's office because the rights of every Mami Mili are protected by the law.
