00:00A few days later, it's already Valentine's Day.

00:04Many couples are now looking for a place to date.

00:09The Philippine Animal Welfare Society, or POS,

00:12has prepared something for those who want to celebrate Valentine's Day with their pets.

00:18The first date is our Valentine's Fundraiser Purpose.

00:22At POS, we think that on Valentine's Day, people are really looking for opportunities to go out.

00:31But it's not for everyone.

00:32Sometimes, some people are sad because they don't have a date.

00:35Others have a date, but they want something different.

00:39Then we thought, it's also good for our animals

00:43because they've been waiting for a long time for someone to visit them.

00:47According to Attorney Ana Cabrera, Executive Director of POS,

00:51this is also an opportunity for singles or lovers

00:55to consider giving up their pets instead of buying them.

01:00It's an online registration that you can sign on for a date.

01:04It's a 30-minute date where you get the chance to bring a particular shelter dog, shelter cat,

01:14with a cookie, a coffee,

01:17and then you get the chance to walk the dog also or to play with a shelter cat.

01:22When POS released the link for the online registration for the activity,

01:27the Saturday slots were already full for this.

01:30As of now, there are still slots left for other days.

01:34This is not the first time POS made a first date.

01:38The activity was conceived in 2018.

01:42For those looking for a place to go this Valentine's Day, POS has a suggestion.

01:47We encourage everyone to date a shelter cat or a shelter dog this Valentine's week.

01:55It's an opportunity for you to see the many animals who are in need of a home,

02:01in need of a second chance.

02:03And if you can give him or her a good home, I'm sure they'll get it much, much more.

02:10Pets or dogs and cats will never break your heart,

02:15and they will be loyal and very loving for the rest of their life.
