00:23Let's just say that their number one candidate is a coordinator on a team that is very likely to still be in the playoffs after the 27th of January.
00:34I think that's fair.
00:34So if that candidate is an offensive coordinator of a team that is widely expected to be in a game on the 27th of January, which is AFC Championship and NFC Championship, they can't talk to that person in person until after the 27th.
00:48And I'm not sure if all of the listeners are aware of that and the impact that it has if that's your number one target.
00:56And it was it was done that way to try and even the playing field from coaches who were still in the process versus those who were not.

01:04And also so coaches who were still in the playoffs didn't have to be worried about coaching in the game of their lives as a coordinator.
01:12As they're flying across the country or they're doing a zoom or wait, we can't go to meetings online, whatever it is.
01:21So and if one of those coordinators from one of these teams is your top target and he happens to make the Super Bowl, you can't officially hire him until the day after the Super Bowl.
01:31So it pushes the timeline of everything back to a point where if you haven't been told no, if you haven't been told a flat out no by the representatives for this candidate, call him, I don't know, Ben Johnson, right?
01:48If you haven't been told no by that person, then you're not going to hire somebody.
01:52So you're going to use this time to interview a lot of people and what you're doing and what the Bears are doing and what I've heard that they are doing is they're really trying to learn from every interview the way that we have discussed for a lot of different organizations through the years.
