00:00Now, you believe they can compete and contend in the toughest division in football because
00:04they have a special quarterback and a great defense.
00:09Not a good defense, a great defense.
00:1112th straight game now where they have held an opponent to 21 points or fewer.
00:17And this is a defense that has an elite player in Jalen Johnson who is now number one in
00:24the NFL according to the metrics in terms of having the lowest passer rating for any
00:31cornerback in the league against, targeted only twice yesterday and 38 pass attempts.
00:38This is a good defense.
00:39Yeah, the defense is excellent.
00:42I think John Hoke is a great coach.
00:46He was there years ago.
00:48They brought him back.
00:49I think he is doing a great job with the secondary.
00:53I think Eric Washington, who they brought in as a defensive coordinator, really seems
00:59to be doing a great job with the defensive line, with the pass rush in particular.
01:03You mentioned two guys earlier and people probably were like, who's Mully talking about?
01:08Chris Williams and Byron Cowart.
01:10Think about that.
01:12Think about those guys being able to make contributions like that.
01:15Listen, they need to go to work on their run defense and I'm sure they can do that this
01:20week.
01:21I'm just saying, if you want to look at some of the success this team is having, you have
01:28to also look at some of the coaching that's going on.
01:32It's not just one person or one guy, but they're getting contributions from people clearly.
01:40Those are just a couple of guys that we give a shout out to.
01:43In one year's time, the Bears coaching staff has gone from dysfunctional to difference
01:48making.
01:49That's fair.
01:50That's a fair thing to say.
