00:00And it's back at the country's exclusive economic zone.

00:03But a dogged determination to block and thwart its continued intrusion,

00:07plus huge sea swells have kept China's behemoth on the high seas at bay.

00:12Our Patrick de Jesus has more on three more ships within the country's EEZ.

00:19Even the monster ship of the China Coast Guard

00:22is not safe from the towering waves in the West Philippine Sea,

00:26which are currently reaching heights of 3 to 5 meters.

00:30This Monday, the monster ship was last spotted 66 nautical miles from Pundakit, Zambales,

00:36after it returned inside the Philippines' exclusive economic zone last Saturday.

00:42For days, it was closely monitored and prevented by BRP Teresa Magmanua

00:48from further approaching the Philippines.

00:50However, the said Philippine Coast Guard's largest vessel

00:54had to return to its home port for repairs due to a damaged auxiliary engine.

01:00In its place, another PCG vessel, BRP Gabriela Silang, an 83-meter ship,

01:06will be deployed to continue surveillance operations.

01:10It's worth noting that despite of the discrepancy of the size of the monster ship,

01:15whether it's a 44-meter vessel or an 83 or 97-meter vessel,

01:21the Philippine Coast Guard remains to be committed in deploying our vessels

01:24and making sure that we can be able to effectively and vigilantly monitor

01:29the presence of the China Coast Guard vessel within our own exclusive economic zone.

01:34Meanwhile, using satellite imagery and grid coordinates,

01:38the PCG has observed that Chinese vessels are now positioned

01:43at the furthest extent of the so-called 10th Dash Line,

01:46which they use to justify their sweeping claims over the entire South China Sea,

01:51including the West Philippine Sea.

02:17The PCG believes that China's current illegal presence in the area

02:21may be a reaction to the enactment of the Philippine Maritime Zones Act.

02:47Secondly, if we remember last November or early December,

02:52the Chinese government also filed to the United Nations

02:56that they have territorial sea limits as well in Bajo de Masinloc.

03:02We know from them that they never really hesitate to violate any domestic or international law.

03:08Meanwhile, three Chinese vessels were monitored in the vicinity of Bajo de Masinloc,

03:14taking turns with the monster ship in operating within the country's EEZ of Zambales.

03:20The National Maritime Council has condemned China's illegal presence within the country's EEZ,

03:26prompting the government to file another diplomatic protest in response.
