00:00Welcome to Mojo Plays and today I'm pushing through my sickness to get over excited and
00:14speculate wildly.
00:15These are 10 things we want to see in GTA 6.
00:19GTA 5 was for all intents and purposes a perfect game, but even at perfection we can still
00:24learn a lot and we're hoping that some of the things we've learned about the game will
00:28also have been learned by Rockstar and then implemented.
00:31Before we continue, we publish content all week long so be sure to subscribe and ring
00:36the bell to get notified of our latest videos.
00:40More Activities To Participate In
00:48A major factor behind GTA 5 Online's enduring success is the constant introduction of new
00:53activities with each update, building on the game's already robust foundation.
00:58From the start players could engage in arm wrestling, tennis, darts, golf, rides at Del
01:02Perro Pier, shooting ranges, arcade games, yoga, time trial races, skydiving and more.
01:08GTA 6 should adopt a similar approach, expanding these activities to create an even more immersive
01:14world.
01:15Adding sports like basketball and skateboarding, introducing more bars and social spots and
01:19enhancing shooting range mechanics with options like archery and hunting could significantly
01:24broaden gameplay options.
01:26With an evolving world and more minigames, the simple pleasure of walking around the
01:29landscape of GTA could fill an entire real world day.
01:33What is life if not a series of events punctuated by peculiar little moments?
01:38Well maybe the peculiar little moments are the actual game.
01:49More Heist Options
01:56With GTA 5, Rockstar placed a heavy emphasis on money, allowing players to earn money in
02:01illegitimate ways like heists and robberies.
02:03Yet for all the heists in the game, players are tightly bound to the script.
02:07These missions may feel thrilling the first time, but actually lose their allure when
02:11you realise your choices have minimal impact.
02:13With GTA 6, Rockstar has a chance to redefine the heist experience by making them smaller
02:19in scale, but far more dynamic.
02:21Imagine the ability to rob gas stations, bank branches or jewellery stores, bringing the
02:26series back to its criminal roots in a meaningful way.
02:28Additionally, robberies could evolve beyond simply intimidating shopkeepers.
02:33Not wearing a mask might make players recognisable in certain locations.
02:37Even better, allow players to plan and execute their own heists in free mode, just as they
02:41do in missions.
02:42The options are pretty much endless.
02:49Stream Music
02:50The Grand Theft Auto series is often celebrated for its incredible soundtracks.
03:03I can't tell you how much time I spent in GTA San Andres driving around listening to
03:07K-Rose.
03:09Tracks like these are sure to return in the next instalment, but GTA 6 has the opportunity
03:14to modernise and expand on this feature with two new additions, music streaming and listening
03:19while walking or cycling.
03:22Music streaming services are already integrated into modern consoles and PCs, making it feasible
03:26to incorporate this feature seamlessly into the game.
03:29Expanding beyond vehicle radios, players could use headphones to enjoy music anywhere.
03:34Don't be limited to music in your vehicle, take Eddie Rabbit's I Love A Rainy Night to
03:38the footpath.
03:40Cross-play and cross-progression
03:41While we don't know yet the details of GTA 6's online mode, it's expected to become one
03:57of the most significant multiplayer experiences in gaming.
04:00Yet one of the standout features of modern multiplayer games is still not seen in the
04:04current GTA online experience, and that is cross-play and cross-progression.
04:09These features make it easier for friends across different platforms to play together
04:12and allow progress to carry seamlessly between devices.
04:15For GTA 6, omitting cross-play and cross-progression would be a missed opportunity.
04:20These features not only foster a stronger, more inclusive community, but also ensure
04:24players can enjoy updates and new content with friends regardless of their preferred
04:28platform.
04:29I'm sick of having multiple versions of the game just to play with my Xbox friends, and
04:33then with my Sony friends, and then my PC friends.
04:35If this releases on Switch, I'm done.
04:45Build Mode
04:49Previous GTA games have allowed players to customise vehicles, clothing, and even hairstyles,
04:53but what about properties?
04:55Fallout introduced it, and although it had its flaws, I spent more hours than I can count
04:59on my hands building my own town.
05:02We're not asking for a full-on The Sims experience, but if we're going to spend millions on a
05:06house, we should at least have the ability to play interior decorator.
05:09Does that rug look good with that couch, does that table runner go with those walls, should
05:12I put a turret gun on the roof?
05:14From furniture placement to decor choices, the ability to personalise a property would
05:18add another layer of immersion.
05:20Deeper Car Customisation
05:32As the name Grand Theft Auto suggests, cars have always been a central focus of the series.
05:36Maybe not to the extent the title implies, but they're undeniably a key element.
05:41The introduction of car customisation in Grand Theft Auto San Andres was just one of the
05:44many elements that made the world feel aggressively open, and with many years of development,
05:49we can only imagine that GTA 6 seems poised to follow suit.
05:53However, the depth of car customisation has varied significantly between titles.
05:58While GTA 5 offers plenty of options in GTA Online, GTA 6 should bring the same level
06:03of customisation to its single player mode, giving players the freedom to fully personalise
06:08their vehicles without the grind of online play, much like San Andres, but better.
06:21Story DLC
06:40Grand Theft Auto 4 introduced story DLC that not only kept the game alive for players who
06:44found online mode unfulfilling, but it revolutionised story based DLC, cementing the desire for
06:50DLC from players with developers.
06:52But what GTA 5 failed to do, regardless of the phenomenal receptions from the GTA 4 DLC,
06:58is introduce its own story DLC.
07:00GTA 6 has a fantastic opportunity to open its post-game experience with DLC that introduce
07:05old characters and tie the series to other entries, without needing these moments to
07:09be woven into the main game.
07:11Let's see what Tommy Vercetti is up to.
07:28Multiple Biomes
07:39One of the standout reasons GTA San Andres remains so memorable is its impressive sense
07:44of scale.
07:46Despite the heavy fog concealing the relatively small size of the map, Rockstar crafted a
07:50world that felt vast and diverse, with everything from bustling cities to arid deserts.
07:56When I was a kid, I truly thought this world was as big as the real world.
07:59In comparison, subsequent games have leaned more towards creating oversized playgrounds.
08:04From the first trailer, GTA 6 has already teased a wide variety of locales, and we're
08:09hoping they'll capture the same magic San Andres did, by making each area feel distinct
08:14and unique.
08:15With the right approach, GTA 6 could deliver a world that feels not just big, but truly
08:20alive and varied.
08:21Snow, desert, swamp, city, town, suburbs, maybe even a sprawling underground sewer system.
08:27Bring it all.
08:39Enterable Buildings
08:41This is an area where the GTA series has fluctuated quite a bit.
08:45The PS2 era games featured plenty of enterable buildings, though they were loaded separately.
08:50GTA 4 expanded on this, introducing a number of seamless interiors scattered across Liberty
08:55City.
08:56However, GTA 5 scaled this back significantly, limiting most buildings' access to specific
09:01missions.
09:02Rockstar is renowned for creating cities that feel like living, breathing characters, and
09:07with just how far they took GTA 5 in terms of its world, they've got only one more direction
09:12to go.
09:13Inside.
09:14Exploring bustling streets is great, but even a small tucked away room can have as much
09:18personality as a vibrant main boulevard, adding depth and immersion to the experience.
09:22Basically, I just want to break into people's homes, is that too much to ask?
09:26More Advanced Police Systems
09:37Police have always played a central role in the GTA series, serving as the primary antagonist
09:42through much of the gameplay.
09:43Despite their prominence, however, the police in the most recent games aren't much of a
09:47threat, easily outmaneuvered or defeated, even at 4 or 5 wanted stars.
09:51In GTA Online, players can even call Lester to instantly remove their wanted level, bypassing
09:56the challenge entirely.
09:58The popularity of GTA roleplay has shown that players crave more realism in their interactions
10:02with law enforcement, from arrests and investigations, to holding cells and even time in prison.
10:07GTA 6 could finally deliver on this demand.
10:11According to leaks and rumours, the police are expected to play a much larger role, with
10:15advanced mechanics such as recognising players' clothing and vehicles, strategically surrounding
10:20them instead of charging recklessly, and allowing players to surrender rather than opening fire
10:25immediately.
10:26The idea of genuinely spending time in prison, and possibly even prison missions and breakouts
10:31add a layer to the game that we've yet to even touch on.
