00:00Marcus Freeman is going nowhere. Marcus Freeman, if you talk to people in soft
00:05band, is thriving at his dream job and he is exactly where he belongs. Marcus
00:13Freeman has done a good of a job in coaching this Notre Dame team as any
00:18coach in college football has this year. The Bears may want to talk to him. The
00:24Bears, I do know for a fact, have been thinking about this possibility for the
00:30last month or six weeks or whenever they fired Flusi, day after Thanksgiving.
00:34Marcus Freeman is somebody they have done due diligence on, big deal. They're
00:39not prying him away from South Bend. He makes nine million dollars a year,
00:43reportedly nine million dollars a year, to to coach Notre Dame. He's in the
00:51national championship game. He looks at this at the NFL. He's 39 years old. He may
00:59one day be a great NFL coach. He's not ready to take that step now. Conveniently,
01:04this story surfaced the morning after the Bears interviewed Ben Johnson, which
01:09makes me wonder how well that Ben Johnson interview might have gone or how
01:13poorly it might have gone. I think this was a change the subject leak. It
01:17certainly didn't come from Notre Dame. It certainly didn't come from Marcus
01:21Freeman, and I wonder who at Hal's Hall has in their best interest to
01:27let people know that they're gonna pursue the hottest coach in college
01:30football. Good luck with that. Not gonna happen.
