Adam Amin: 'Nobody has stopped talking about the Bears'

The new-look Bears enter the 2024 season with big expectations.

00:00So as you get set to look at the NFL right now and call Bears games in the preseason,

00:07so let's you've got it from a national perspective. Sure. You have it from a local perspective,

00:11but any way you look at it, the Bears are at least one of the it teams in the NFL right now.

00:18If not for talent, if not for record, they doesn't matter. You have for the first time

00:24the guy, whether he ends up being the guy or not. The perception as often as the case

00:30becomes the reality. And right now the reality is you have somebody deemed to be the guy. So you

00:35get to enjoy the spoils of that. Nobody has stopped talking about the Bears. Mark Schlereth and Danny

00:39Parkins were just talking about it for like four and a half minutes on TV. So it's a long time

00:47in show form. That's a long time to talk about that subject. So everybody, Julian Edelman had

00:52some to say, Brady had some to say, everybody's had some to say about it and they'll continue to

00:55talk about it. And they'll play in the hall of fame game and they'll play five snaps or whatever

01:00it is. And then they'll talk the remainder of the game about it. And they'll talk another week about

01:03it. And then we'll talk about it for three weeks when we get the preseason game. So for the first

01:07time in probably my lifetime, maybe the Cade McNown pick had a little bit of this type of buzz

01:14because he had such a great career UCLA. The colored trade had a little bit of that type of

01:19buzz. Neither one was close to this. Not remotely to this. Neither having been through both,

01:25neither was close to this. This is the first time in my lifetime outside of, and I was born right

01:32after McMahon and company one. This is the first time I'd ever been like, oh wait, we have the,

01:36this is the guy, this is the actual, should we, can I talk about this as an actual like viable

01:42NFL number one type quarterback. So that garners a lot of attention and it garners a lot of

01:47analysis. There's still problems for this team that have to be figured out. I think more so on

01:52defense than offense. I think you've filled the slots on offense correctly. Now it's up to the

01:58actual execution of the players and the game plan and everything. But in terms of personnel, I think

02:02there are still some issues finding an opposite edge rusher. That's the biggest issue technique.
