00:33with the two top officials of the United States and Japan,

00:37the trilateral agreement was signed by three more powerful countries.

00:43At the trilateral leaders' phone call meeting this morning by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:53with outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru,

00:59the three leaders promised to continue helping to strengthen and deepen the relationship in the economy,

01:07maritime, and technological cooperation.

01:11President R. Marcos is confident that the Philippines, America, and Japan will not be defeated.

01:19On April 11, 2024, the trilateral summit was also held in Washington

01:25by President R. Marcos, outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden, and former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida of Japan,

01:33where they strengthened the agreement to ensure peace,

01:38a safe and prosperous Indo-Pacific region anchored in democracy, rule of law, and human rights.

01:46Following the trilateral joint vision statement of April,

01:50President Marcos said that bilateral and trilateral cooperation of the Philippines,

01:58U.S., and Japan, as well as the development of the economy, technology, climate change,

02:07and security of peace and security in the three countries.

02:12According to President Marcos' statement,

02:16they described their trilateral partnership as a historic success,

02:22especially in maritime and economic security,

02:25as well as technological cooperation and the establishment of high-quality infrastructure investment.

02:32At the same time, he praised the Philippines' contribution to China's aggressive actions in the South China Sea.

02:39Biden is positive that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will see the importance of this.

02:46Japan Prime Minister Ishiba also emphasized the importance of the deepening of trilateral cooperation of the Philippines, U.S., and Japan.

02:56As you may remember, last December, the three countries held a multilateral maritime cooperative activity

03:03that shows cooperation and, perhaps, freedom of navigation in the Indo-Pacific region in the middle of tension in the South China Sea.
