00:12according to NGO Armed Conflict Location and Event Data.
00:1750 countries worldwide have been ranked as having extreme, high or turbulent levels of conflict.
00:24One in eight people are estimated to have been exposed to conflict in 2024,
00:29and the amount of people being exposed to political violence has increased by 25%.
00:35Bombing and remote violence nearly doubled since 2022, growing by over 25% per annum.
00:42Bombing incidents in particular now represent over 90,000 events in 2024,
00:47close to double the rate of battles and triple the rate of direct violence against civilians.
