00:17Or if it shouldn't matter and their accomplishments should be the only thing up for debate in

00:23I think it matters what you're achieving at the end of the day.

00:26You're going to presentation.

00:30You want to present yourself in a certain way.

00:32But otherwise, I think it just comes down to what you're actually accomplishing.

00:37Yeah, and less about how you're looking because I don't think guys wear makeup when they go

00:44So if you can do the job, then that's what matters.

00:46I'm in the health care industry, so I don't wear makeup to work.

00:50So I feel like it should be your own personal opinion.

00:53Recruiters think showing up, being well put together is important.

00:57I think it does have a bearing.

01:07One expert recruiter telling me that since the pandemic, people have gotten more relaxed

01:11and laid back with their appearance and that they, of course, give pointers to help people

01:15perform their best professionally in interviews, but never tell someone anything about their

01:19physical appearance.

01:21Other experts agree.

01:22It should be about performance more than appearance.

01:25And the work is what matters the most.

01:28Wearing makeup or not wearing makeup is sort of irrelevant as far as going in and being

01:35able to do a great job.

01:37I think that going into the office and looking professional and giving your best in terms

01:44of doing the work is really what matters.

01:47And I can't imagine being judged based on how much or how little or no makeup at all

01:53is worn.

01:54What seems like a personal preference is getting a lot of attention on social media right now.
