00:00Mayor Honey Lacuna was surprised by what the former garbage collector of Luzon, Leonel Waste Management Corporation, said.

00:08The mayor was again surprised that Leonel abandoned his obligation to carry garbage since December 30,

00:16based on the barangay's rules.

00:19Here, even until December 31, their contract was first denied by Leonel.

00:26Until tomorrow, January 10, the mayor gave a deadline to the newly hired garbage collectors

00:31to carry all the piled up garbage in Luzon.

00:34As for the payment, Lacuna clarified that the Manila LGU in Leonel has no debt of P561 million.

00:43The process of disbursement or issuing money to pay the company is underway.

00:49The mayor also said that the first four months of 2024 have already been paid and there is already a fund for May and June.

00:58He cannot say that it is a debt if it is not due and demandable, as stated in their signed contract.

01:06Leonel has yet to respond to the additions that the mayor said about the payments.
