00:08Really pleasing, really pleasing. First and foremost you've got to give Arnie the Grammysman
00:13the credit for getting the game on. We've had a dry day today, the previous two days
00:18were horrendous and he's been down here volunteering with the rest of the people to get the game
00:24on and we wanted the game on because we felt we were in good vein of form and our performances
00:32over the last two games were really good so we wanted the game on and it was the right
00:38decision.
00:39It looked like your boys were really up for it right from minute one and they got their
00:43reward soon enough with that 9th minute goal from Ryan Jolland.
00:48Yeah, we asked the lads, we needed a 95 minute performance and they certainly gave us that
00:54with a lot of energy, maturity in our play, we stuck to our game plan and I thought we
01:03were good value for the win on this occasion and like I say we've come up second best
01:08against Felixstowe on other occasions.
01:10Would you say it was a controlled performance?
01:14From the sidelines it did almost, once you got ahead it didn't look like you were going
01:17to relinquish that and that's the way it proved.
01:19I think we had our threats going forward and yeah it was a controlled, mature performance
01:26and like I say we used the ball really well in areas on a difficult surface for both teams
01:32so yeah I really, really give the plaudits to the boys on how they handled the game and
01:38like I said in the final third we asked for a little bit more bravery and we got it, we
01:42were fine with Jolland scoring the first goal.
01:44Yeah and he had a hand I believe in the second goal as well, setting it up for Jamal to do
01:50what Jamal does.
01:51Yeah well Max started the move on that side and coming off the line really well and then
01:56Joel's really intelligently flicked it through and that is where Jamal's best in and around
02:04the box so it was a really good move, a pleasing move because again we do work hard in training
02:09on the final third and the defensive third but we do really work hard on them.
02:14Yeah and it was a real shift from then on in keeping Felix at bay and still looking
02:19in danger on the break.
02:20Yeah, like I said they're a really, really good team and like I said we managed their
02:26threats really well and nullified it in the wide areas which is where they've been most
02:30potent and like I said it was pleasing to have the three points and be top of the league.
02:35A lot of games to go, like I said there will be slips and trips along the way but we feel
02:41like we've got a well-rounded squad at the moment and luckily with not many injuries.
02:48And not bad to bring a step three winning player off the bench to make his debut as
02:54well.
02:55Yeah it's nice to have Dylan, we've been speaking to him for a little while and like
02:59I said eventually got the deal done this week.
03:03Another person that adds real quality, intensity, energy into our final third and like I said
03:10he can play as deep a line of fielder if needed.
03:13Yeah and Moulden and Tiptree on Saturday here, what's your early thoughts ahead of that?
03:18Another one where you can keep chalking them off now hopefully.
03:22Moulden and Tiptree again, you look at tonight's game and people quite rightly will say it's
03:28a big win, it is a good win but Moulden and Tiptree are in a really tricky situation at
03:36the moment.
03:37They've been nearly taken over, they've had management come in, management leave, now
03:43they've got other management in and their squad's really good.
03:46So Moulden and Tiptree will be as dangerous as Felix Day and we've got to make sure mentally
03:52we get back on it now for Saturday.
