00:00The investigation of the Philippine Navy continues regarding the recovered submersible drone in Masbate.
00:06Meanwhile, the Philippine Coast Guard is also closely monitoring the China's monster ship
00:12which is still inside the country's territory.
00:14Patrick De Jesus in details.
00:19The Armed Forces of the Philippines is seriously investigating the discovery of the submersible drone in Masbate
00:26that was recovered by fishermen.
00:28It is now under the forensic analysis of the Philippine Navy.
00:32It has been almost two months since it was discovered.
00:37In the initial observation, the yellow and red colored drone is possible to be used in scientific research and fish tracking.
00:47It is 3.5 meters long, 24 centimeters wide, and weighs more than 70 kilos.
00:54All angles will be examined by the Navy, including the military component.
00:59The analysis will examine the object's physical structure, electronic components, power source, and any possible stored data.
01:08Equipment such as this are used for gathering bathymetric data such as water temperature, the depth of water, and salinity.
01:20As mentioned, the AFP is on top of the situation and taking this seriously.
01:26A lot of speculation has been going on.
01:29But let me state that speculation is no substitute for evidence.
01:36This is not the first time that a drone has been recovered in our ocean.
01:40Last August, a sea drone was found in the northern part of the country.
01:45While last September, there were pieces of another drone.
01:51The Navy said that they do not neglect such devices that are being discovered in our country and in protecting our territory.
02:00Just because no reports come out doesn't mean your AFP is timid or not doing anything.
02:06We're trying to look at the video picture and correlate the numbers.
02:10Meanwhile, Palacio is in charge of maintaining the Chinese Coast Guard's monster ship in the exclusive economic zone of the Philippines.
02:20We view it with concern.
02:22So far, we have been challenging the presence of that monster ship.
02:28The Coast Guard, our Coast Guard, has always been very alert in following up the presence of that monster ship.
02:39The PRP-Cabra of the PCG continues to monitor the monster ship of China and issue a radio challenge.
02:46We are reminding you that you are within 76 nautical miles west of Capones Point, Zambales,
02:53inside the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone.
02:56Please leave this area immediately. Over.
02:59Since Saturday, the PCG has been monitoring the assets that were first detected with the help of the Dark Vessel Detection System of Canada.
03:08From People's Television Network, Patrick de Azuz for Balitang Pambansa.
