00:00Jesse Eisenberg?
00:01What's the second thing you wrote down?
00:03They would come down the aisle,
00:04they would grab the heads of the wall
00:05and like lick the kids' heads.
00:06He's late to everything, but when he gets there,
00:08they're like, hey, come on in.
00:09We're so happy you came.
00:10Guys, one of my favorite films I've seen this year,
00:13it just ebbs and flows so beautifully
00:15between comedy and drama.
00:17It really is wonderful.
00:19However, one of the first notes I wrote down was feet.
00:21And probably because I don't like feet,
00:23that's why I was like, ah,
00:26they're right there, front and center.
00:28Jesse, did you make sure you went and got a pedicure
00:30before your close-up?
00:31That sounds like you.
00:32No, no, no.
00:34They were bruised by that day
00:35because we were working so much.
00:37No, my feet were not in their prime condition.
00:39And let me tell you something,
00:40if they were, you would start to like them again.
00:42Well, they're gonna be on WikiFeets before you know it.
00:44And I checked, because you're not on there,
00:46and Kieran, you're not on there either.
00:48I don't even know what, I don't want to ask.
00:50No, what is it?
00:50It's a thing about feet.
00:51I think it's mostly women, isn't it?
00:52I mean, there's like 34 pictures of my feet on there,
00:54and I'm no one.
00:57Yeah, it's women, right?
00:58I mean, it's...
00:58No, no, it's men as well.
00:59Oh, interesting.
01:00Are you bare feet, or just like your feet?
01:02Bare feet.
01:02How do they have pictures of your bare feet?
01:04They go to the Instagram, they do all that kind of stuff.
01:06Or like, you know, on press pictures,
01:08but if you're wearing open shoes or whatever.
01:09I see.
01:10Why don't you like feet?
01:11Like, what is it?
01:12I don't know.
01:13Like you, like, ugh.
01:14Yeah, just don't...
01:14Like if someone's walking around barefoot in their own house,
01:17and then you're like, ew,
01:17I really wish I didn't go over to their house.
01:19But at least Jesse's were attractive.
01:21That's right.
01:21Well, some are nicer looking than others,
01:23but do you not like them in the way that like,
01:24you don't want like a rat in your house?
01:26Yeah, maybe.
01:27Kinda?
01:28Yeah.
01:28Don't even like my own feet.
01:29You don't like your own feet.
01:30Yeah.
01:30Maybe that's where this...
01:32Do you wash them profusely because ew, gross?
01:34Or do you like try not to touch them?
01:37I will look after them because they are essential,
01:40but they're not my favorite.
01:41Unfortunately, that's our time.
01:42Yeah, exactly.
01:44Well, really good news.
01:47What's the second thing you wrote down?
01:53That was it.
01:54Literally on my nose is his feet.
01:56Oh my God.
01:56She writes down one word and we ruin it for her.
02:00I was curious,
02:01did you guys add any personal touches to Benji and David?
02:05I think I caught a bushwhackers reference.
02:08Yeah, very good.
02:09Wait, you know about the bushwhackers?
02:10You have to look that up.
02:11No, no, I have had discussions.
02:14I know wrestling as well.
02:15Okay.
02:15I'm not as into it as I think you are.
02:17He's really into it.
02:18Really into it.
02:18And I remember that was me discussing,
02:19and then they were like,
02:20we heard rolling and I was like,
02:21you told me they're not using the sound,
02:23but we kept the mics on anyway.
02:24So I was like, remember the bushwhackers?
02:26And I sort of imagined that like when we were kids,
02:28we probably would have watched wrestling,
02:29but I got really into it and you kind of like didn't.
02:31Yeah.
02:31So that's why I thought it was appropriate.
02:32Like, you don't remember the bushwhackers?
02:33They actually lick kids' heads in the audience.
02:37They would come down the aisle,
02:37they would grab the heads and lick the kids' heads.
02:39Yeah.
02:40And the parents would be like, oh, wrestling.
02:42Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:42Grown men licking my child's face.
02:43Did you always want to be one of those kids that got there?
02:45No, God no.
02:46That was like, okay,
02:47don't be in the front row when the bushwhackers come out.
02:48Yeah, the guys from New Zealand.
02:51Yeah.
02:51So you've looked them up since?
02:52Oh, I knew the bushwhackers when I was younger.
02:53They were my favorite.
02:54Oh, really?
02:54Yeah, I love those guys.
02:55Oh, wow.
02:56I didn't know that.
02:56Oh, no, I went to wrestling when I was younger.
02:58But did you, Jesse, I know you originally wanted to play Benji
03:02when you wrote this character.
03:04So do you relate more to Benji than you would David?
03:08No, no, I aspire to be Benji.
03:09I mean, what part of this movie is like my character
03:11talking about how much I wish I was him,
03:14but also how upsetting it is for me
03:16that he's not living up to his potential
03:18because his potential far surpasses my own.
03:20So no, I envy people like him.
03:22And I've played a character like this in a play that I did here.
03:25And so I wanted to do it in a movie
03:28because it's an exhilarating character for me to play.
03:32But no, I'm more like David.
03:34And I'm lucky that I didn't play this part
03:36because, I mean, is there,
03:37it's not a better performance in the world.
03:39Yeah, it's the greatest thing.
03:40Wherever you've gotten the bushwhacker reference, you know.
03:42Yeah, exactly.
03:43And I know these two, when they're traveling together,
03:45obviously there's things that David
03:47maybe finds annoying about Benji.
03:49I'm curious now that you two have traveled a lot together,
03:52are there either annoying things you find about each other
03:55or cute things that the other does that you've noticed?
03:57I don't know about cute,
03:58but we've had to travel on planes together
04:00and he won't check a bag,
04:01which I think is really interesting.
04:02Yeah, that's why we don't have to travel
04:04to the hotel together.
04:05Yeah, because you're waiting, yeah.
04:07Yeah, and it's like, what, seven minutes
04:09that you would be waiting in the car for me?
04:10But yes, I mean, you're given your own car anyway.
04:12You could check a bag, but like,
04:14he also goes to like-
04:14But just make sure.
04:15You brush your teeth before getting on the plane.
04:17Of course.
04:17Which is really interesting.
04:19Like you'll go to the lounge and eat the little,
04:21whatever, salmon and then go brush your teeth
04:23and then go right to bed.
04:23Wait, he studied you.
04:24Have you studied him in any way?
04:26Yes, he usually shows up right before the plane is taking off
04:29and yet he's welcomed with open arms
04:30and they give him a better seat.
04:32He's one of these people that just like,
04:33he's late to everything,
04:34but when he gets there, they're like,
04:35hey, come on in, we're so happy you came.
04:38Yeah, and me, I'm early and they're annoyed.
04:41It takes about an hour plus
04:42to get to the airport from my house
04:44and I got in with 25 minutes
04:45before the flight was going to leave.
04:46I got in the car and I was like,
04:47they'll have to pull me off.
04:48But the car got there just in time.
04:50They just held the flight
04:51because they don't want you to miss flights.
04:53That's how I feel.
04:54No, no, no.
04:54They don't want you to miss flights.
04:56No, they don't because that means more work for them.
04:58Now they have to like book me on another thing and do this.
05:00They're like, get him on the freaking flight.
05:02He knows the trick.
05:03Trust me, if you show up late,
05:04they want you on the-
05:04The world opens its arms to him.
05:05I don't know what that is.
05:06I try to do it.
05:07No one likes it.
05:08For some reason, he's just one of these people.
05:10Hey, you want an extra piece of cake?
05:11Or, you know, actually, you know,
05:12he's a little hungry as somebody's passing by
05:14with a huge thing of food.
05:15Like, it's just the world loves him.
05:16You know what I did to him on the last flight?
05:19I had a time.
05:20I'm telling the story though.
05:20I'm telling the story.
05:21So we were in two different sections,
05:23both business class,
05:24but we were both in the-
05:25and he's in the front section.
05:26I went to the bathroom and on the way back,
05:28this is before the flight took off,
05:29I just went, Jesse?
05:31And he looked up and smiled like I was going to talk.
05:32I went, Jesse Eisenberg?
05:36And then I just f***ed off to my seat.
05:38Just like,
05:39I'm sitting for seven and a half hours
05:40giggling to myself about this part.
05:42And I'm hiding under a pillow.
05:43He's trying to sleep.
05:44He's like, oh, people are going to take pictures of me sleeping.
05:45Oh, Kieran, you're the worst.
05:47Oh, exactly. Thank you.
05:48When you see somebody who's really anxious,
05:49you just want to prod and poke and make them more anxious.
05:52Well, one does.
05:53Yeah, one might.
05:54This tour's almost over, Jesse.
05:55You'll be done.
05:56You'll be fine.
05:56I know, I know, I know.
05:57You can leave Kieran to do this to someone else.
05:59Yeah.
05:59Thank you for the feature.
06:00Thank you so much.
06:00Thank you for everything.
06:01Appreciate you guys.
06:02I'll send you pics and thanks.
