00:00People have a lot of preconceived notions about how you and Kieran are, did you have any preconceived notions about him and what was it like, did anything surprise you about working with him?
00:10Yeah, a lot of things surprised me about working with Kieran. I thought because we're both from New York and we speak in a kind of similar way that we would be very similar in other aspects of our life and it turns out we're similar in no other aspects of our life.
00:22He is somebody who lives in this completely spontaneous way, living from moment to moment, never second guessing himself. I'm somebody who hasn't lived in a moment in maybe 20 years and maybe I was only in that moment 20 years ago accidentally or maybe I was missing some oxygen for a few minutes and Kieran is just like somebody who from one thing to the next doesn't allow things to kind of fester in his mind.
00:48What did you bond over, what did you really have in common?
00:52Kieran and I, I would say bonded over what this movie was, like the relationship we have is so fun and dynamic and fun to play that I think there was just a feeling all the time like we loved what each other was bringing to the other one.
01:07We felt like our connection and our rapport was so fun and singular and it felt original and real and also sad as well as happy as well as funny and also tragic and to me there's like no better way to bond with somebody than to really be acting with them.
01:22Absolutely, well congratulations on this. Also this is the season where not only are we launching into awards season but it's also the season I think of like comfort movies. What is your number one comfort movie like this time of year you put on repeat? Do you have one?
01:35Yeah, but I can't say it. I can tell you. What is my comfort movie? Yeah, you know I love the movie Submarine, it was made by my friend Richard Ayoade. I think it's just like a perfect movie, it's a coming of age story in Wales and it's just absolutely adorable and there's no other word for it than just totally warm.
01:55Yeah, I want to know what the other one was.
01:57I'll tell you, not in front of 45 cameras.
02:00Hey, fine, sorry.
02:02Sorry too, I'm sorry too.
02:04We're in the season of Thanks, what are you most thankful for right now?
02:08Well right now at this exact moment I'm so thankful to be involved like in this industry that has allowed me to have so many wonderful opportunities and I pinch myself that I'm here, you know, probably like a lot of people here I feel like I don't belong and I'm going to be outed as a fraud, you know, I'm sure a lot of actors will say the same thing.
02:27And so I feel just incredibly grateful. My dad always tells me, you know, if you have two or three movies in your career that audiences take to, you should be so lucky and I'm so happy that I got to make this movie and that people like it.
