00:00And last, Madeleine Garcia by Telesur.
00:03Hi, Minister, how are you doing?
00:05And if there is not going to happen anything on January 9th, on that summer, what is your
00:11reading about this?
00:12Because there is no sense if you…
00:16Well, then the use of social media to spread their narrative for the international audience,
00:28what's behind this?
00:29What have you analyzed on this?
00:32Well, I shouldn't be here.
00:34This is a hologram because I left Venezuela already.
00:38Didn't you see that on social media that I left, I took a plane and I left the country?
00:45I don't exist.
00:46We don't exist.
00:48They have nothing.
00:49They are just terrified.
00:50They are just afraid.
00:52Once Venezuela lives through fear, they don't want peace, tranquility, harmony, and nothing
01:06to allow Venezuelans to work, produce.
01:13There are Venezuelan sectors that realize about it.
01:17The first one were those sectors that are in the National Assembly, politicians.
01:24My political formation is not that.
01:28That caused the division of several countries, and the entrepreneur sectors in some level
01:37have emerged that.
01:38Well, there is a new sector, the entrepreneurs, who have just started their business and they
01:46are doing well in Venezuela, but this far-right fascist sector doesn't want tranquility for
01:57our country, and so we will respond to them.
02:01We will respond to them.
02:03And right now, well, there's not going to happen anything.
02:06I am just convinced that it's not going to happen anything, but we won't lower our guard
02:13because we receive threats every day, so we will be responsible ahead of their threats.
02:20We don't do anything.
02:21We don't take our cautions.
02:26We don't get concerned for Venezuelans, for the tranquility of the country.
02:31We have a responsible government, a government that faces any problem.
02:38We don't disregard problems.
02:40We just face problems, and they are not interested in peace.
02:46They want terror for the people of Venezuela, and that's the way they rule, they govern.
02:57Look at them when they are mayors or governors, what do they do?
03:03How do they behave?
03:06So they are profoundly corrupt and inefficient, and inefficiency is covered with violence
03:16and persecution.
03:17They wouldn't admit incidents somehow, but Venezuela is at peace, and it's going to continue
03:26with peace, and we guarantee peace of Venezuelans, but we must be on alert.
03:34We must be just on alert.
03:41There is no, we cannot lower our guard.
03:45We must be alert.
03:47We must be on alert permanently for peace and tranquility, and so who's going to do
03:54that, Madeleine?
03:55Who's going to be in front of this?
03:58The state institutions.
04:00That's why you see, not only in Caracas, but nationwide, we have deployed security
04:11forces across the nation.
04:16You met across with lots of people on the streets, because it is our duty.
04:24Yesterday, or the day before yesterday, just I stand at the Altamira Square, and I was
04:31there.
04:32There were police officers, heads of the police, of national police, of municipal police, and
04:42there were protections, civil protection officers, just alert for any emergencies.
04:51So we spoke a little bit, and we take coffee.
04:59There were some people at the square.
05:01We just greet some people without any problem.
05:04That people deserve to live at peace.
05:07Venezuelans, we men and women, deserve to live at peace.
05:12That's why our work, we are just working all year, 24-7, it is our duty, and so there
05:24must be someone to do it.
05:27And do you think, let's change our cars, do you think that they are governing, they are
05:34taking office, and comes out any revolutionary person on January 10th, there won't be a
05:44swearing ceremony, the swearing ceremony wouldn't be yours, well, there will be a lot of deaths
05:52due to persecution, and those who are nerve-wracking because of the presence of the national military,
06:02don't get nerve-wracking, it is the far-right fascist wing.
06:08So you must remember the swearing of Carlos Manuel Pérez, Caracas was taken over by national
06:21foreign security corps, Caracas was taken over by overseas security corps who came here
06:34to Venezuela, and at that moment I was an official of the armed forces, and the CIA
06:47was here in Venezuela, and the FBI, and the European intelligence, and the Israeli people,
06:54the Israeli government was here in Venezuela, and so now they are uptight.
07:01So control your nerves, please, and so Madeline knows where to treat that, 125 detainees,
07:11mercenaries, 125 Venezuelans, Colombians, U.S. citizens, Peruvians, Spanish, Uruguayans,
07:23Italians, from Lebanon, from the Netherlands, from Israel, from Germany, from Argentina,
07:34from Guyana, from Yemen, all of them are just mercenaries, 125 detainees, and so we will
07:48guarantee peace, be certain about it, that we are just committed to the peace of this country,
07:54and so my healthy recommendation for those who believe you will destabilize this country,
08:04you will be smashed, because we will be just very steady, resounding,
08:12we will be extremely severe, always abided by the constitutional law,
08:17but to defend the homeland, no one will stop us. Thank you very much, sirs.
