00:00After winning a gold medal in the World Taekwondo Junior Championships last October,
00:06Tatiana Mangin is now preparing for a more trending competition this year.

00:1717-year-old Tatiana Mangin is now the target of joining the senior level of the national team
00:24for several major tournaments like the World Taekwondo Championships
00:28and Southeast Asian Games in Thailand that will be held this year.
00:32According to Mangin, her experience in the World Juniors helped her to strengthen her self-confidence
00:40that she can bring to the senior level this year.
00:43It is noted that Mangin won a gold medal in the female 49kg division
00:48after defeating South Korea's Yang Jee Kim in the World Juniors.
00:53A 12th-grade student-athlete from the University of Santo Tomas,
00:57Mangin competed against Kim to win in the final bout
01:01so that the 28-year-old Filipino athlete can get a gold medal in the said tournament
01:08since the time of Alex Borromeo in 1996 in Barcelona, Spain.
01:13Because of her success, Mangin is the first Filipino to win a gold medal in the World Juniors event.
