00:17Yoon is under criminal investigation for insurrection over his martial law attempt that stunned
00:22South Korea, Asia's fourth-largest economy and one of the region's most vibrant democracies.
00:28An arrest would be the first for an incumbent South Korean president.
00:32Officials from the Corruption Investigation Office for High-Ranking Officials, which is
00:36leading a joint team of investigators that include the police and prosecutors, had arrived
00:41at the gates of Yoon's compound shortly after 7 a.m.
00:45It was unclear whether the Presidential Security Service, which has blocked access by investigators
00:50with a search warrant to Yoon's office and official residence, would try to stop the
00:55arrest.
00:56Yoon's lawyer said in a statement on Friday that the execution of an invalid arrest warrant
01:01against Yoon is unlawful and they will take legal action without elaborating.
