00:00The January transfer window is just around the corner and the rumour mill is in overdrive.
00:05So here are, on the 30th of December, a couple of today's transfer headlines.
00:10First of all, Sheffield United have been linked with Tom Cannon.
00:13He's a Republic of Ireland international striker, currently on loan at Stoke from Leicester City.
00:18You may remember Sheffield United were linked with him back in the summer, as were an array of championship clubs.
00:23Off the top of my head, I know Luton were mentioned in the summer, Hull, West Brom, all linked with Cannon in the summer.
00:29And a report has emerged today saying that Sheffield United are admirers, but that a permanent deal would be required for the Blades to be able to add him to their ranks.
00:37He scored nine goals for Stoke this season, so it would arguably be a huge coup for Sheffield United if they managed to get him on board.
00:43In terms of confirmed deals, it's not quite January yet, but Bradford City have got off the mark for the transfer window.
00:50They've signed George Lapsley from Mansfield Town, an attack-minded midfielder.
00:53He signed a two and a half year contract at Valley Parade.
00:56He said he can't believe his luck that a club of Bradford's size has come in for him.
01:00Over on the blue side of Sheffield, we've got Sheffield United being linked to Tom Cannon.
01:04Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with Ronnie Edwards.
01:07He's a defender, a ball-playing centre-back, England Youth International, signed for Southampton back in the summer from Peterborough United.
01:14A deal reportedly worth around £3 million.
01:16He's really struggled for minutes at Southampton this season, just one substitute appearance in the top flight.
01:21And Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with him.
01:24There is apparently a possibility, according to reports, that he could leave Southampton on loan.
01:29Over at Middlesbrough, they've been linked with someone who's a bit of a familiar face in Yorkshire.
01:34Glenn Kamara left Leeds United for Rennes in the summer and has featured regularly in Liga 1.
01:39But he's been linked with Middlesbrough.
01:42A lot of clubs in England are said to be keen on him, according to reports.
01:45Southampton and Ipswich Town, Burnley and Sunderland, all linked with Kamara.
01:50Senior Finland International, again, played regularly under Daniel Farke at Leeds last season.
01:55Over at Barnsley and Chelsea, looks set to recall Gabriel Slonina from his loan spell at Orkwell.
02:00He has seen action at Barnsley and has won prayers from Darrell Clark, but he has seen his time there disrupted by injury.
02:07And then down in the non-league pyramid, a little bit of a rogue one.
02:10Matt Derbyshire, formerly of Rotherham United and Bradford City, announced his retirement from playing last month, but is now back in the game.
02:17He's joined Matlock Town, a seventh-tier side, and that reunites him with Adam Clayton, a former team-mate of his at Bradford City.
