01:24It is also a target to improve the systems in order to improve the ease of doing business and public service.
01:31In August, the President once again called for the reinvention of bureaucracy through the strengthening of the Career Executive Service or CES.
01:40He also gave the need for an ethical and good leadership in the government.
01:45As part of this initiative, the percentage of positions in the CES was increased from 44% to 50%.
01:54In June of this year, the government programs will be strengthened and implemented continuously
01:59while serving as a pathway for the formation and expansion of the next generations of leaders in the public sector.

02:50as well as the proper support and implementation of the Ease of Doing Business,
02:54such as shortening the process of business permits and licenses,

03:08and the delivery of services while reducing inefficiencies and strengthening accountability.
03:15But aside from speeding up services, the Executive Board has also been involved in strengthening the relationship between the Philippines and other countries through its foreign trips.
03:26Like his bilateral meeting with Vietnam President Vo Van Tong last January, which resulted in a more stable relationship between the two countries,
03:34Vingroup Company also showed interest in expanding their business in the country after the President's assistance.
03:42Again, the Executive Board gave the Philippines the readiness to strengthen its relationship with Australia

05:00In Washington, D.C., the President attended the first-ever Trilateral U.S.-Japan-Philippine Leaders' Summit in the White House
05:06to further strengthen the ties and relations between the countries.
05:10Here, the President emphasized the importance of the so-called activity where the partnership of the three countries is deeper
05:16so that it can remain peaceful, stable, and prosperous in the Indo-Pacific.
05:21The President's visit to Brunei Darussalam was also fruitful
05:25where three Memorandums of Understanding and a Letter of Intent were signed
05:29which included Tourism Cooperation, Maritime Activities, Recognition of Filipino Seafarers, and Agricultural Cooperation.
