00:00Thanks for joining us, Charlie. Congratulations on making the Rebels squad for 2025. How are you feeling about that?
00:05Yeah, no worries. Thanks, Justine, for having me. Yeah, I'm rapt to have made the Rebels squad this year.
00:11It was a hard team to crack, but yeah, really stoked and keen to get stuck in.
00:15And can you tell me what role you'd hope to play up there?
00:18I'd sort of, based off the trial games, I was playing a bit of wing and half-back,
00:25so I reckon wing would probably be my preferred position to sort of run and stay on the outside.
00:31Or even when I was playing senior foot here, I played a bit of half-forward and I really enjoyed that.
00:35So yeah, sort of anywhere they put me, sort of as a half-forward or a small forward or a wingman,
00:41not too worried, but just looking forward to playing anywhere if I get an opportunity.
00:47And you got a taste of senior football in the Hampton League this year with Trang Mortlake, even in the final series.
00:52What was that like?
00:53Yeah, that was unreal. It was a good experience and obviously a real hard challenge against a lot of big bodies and good competition.
00:59But no, I really loved it. Just sort of playing with older people,
01:04playing with my brother and my uncle in all the finals and all the senior games, which is unreal.
01:10So yeah, just taking that experience to help me keep improving.
01:13And in the AFL, you go for Collingwood. Who do you sort of model your own game on?
01:18Yeah, I'm a big Pies supporter and probably sort of Nick Dacos from the Pies.
01:22I just like how he's sort of really clean, really quick, smart play, always finds a teammate, hits them up.
01:30And even their new draft pick, Will Hayes, I actually really like him.
01:35Sort of watch a lot of his highlights and he's sort of wingman, quick, he's pretty small like myself.
01:40But no, those two probably, I really like their game.
01:44No worries. Well, best of luck for the next season.
01:46Thanks, Jocelyn.
