Terang Mortlake's Sam McLean speaks ahead of the Bloods Hampden league preliminary final against South Warrnambool.
Transcript
00:00Right, I'm joined by training Mortlake footballer, Sam McLean. Sam, into a prelim on the weekend,
00:04how are you feeling? Looking forward to it?
00:06Yeah, very much so. It's been a long time coming. Last year we had a little bit of success
00:11getting to the prelim, but obviously didn't quite make it, so it'll be nice to go one
00:15further this year. The boys are up and about and very keen.
00:19And a win on the Siren on the weekend against Warrnambool, that must have been pretty special.
00:23Yeah, it was. That was probably one of the best wins I've played in, so it'll be nice
00:26to back it up with something maybe not quite as close this week, but see how we go.
00:31And to make it into a senior grand final, that'd be pretty special, something you haven't
00:34done before. Yeah, definitely. That'd be the pinnacle
00:36for me. Never really had a lot of senior success, so the last couple of years we've been up
00:43and about and competitive, so it'll be nice to get there, definitely.
00:47And you travel from Torquay to get here. What do you love about this club that makes you
00:51commit to that? The group of blokes, the coaches, the group
00:53of blokes, the supporters. Yeah, everyone just gets around everyone, and it's just a
00:58really good, fun environment to be around. Sounds good. Well, good luck for the weekend.
01:02Thanks, mate.
