Great White Shark spotted in St Georges Basin

00:06Right if you look at that there we're 600 meters off Palm Beach and there's Palm Beach just over there

00:14and we've got the eight foot great white right next to us so within 600 meters of one of the

00:21most common beaches down at um the basin so whoever knows Palm Beach it's one of the most

00:28common beaches for kids but yeah we're 600 meters off that and we've got a eight foot seven foot

00:36minimum but I'd go more inclined to eight foot great white under the boat so that just that just

00:43blows my mind I've fished here many many nights hours upon hours upon hours and I've never even

00:50caught a little shark any shark and I burly and I do everything and I've never even caught one

00:57but hooked up a flathead I thought beauty I'm gonna have dinner and as I was um bringing it

01:04in and nearly got to the surf as my line just snapped I thought what happened then and then um

01:12started putting a new hook on and then when I looked over the side of the boat

01:15I'd just seen this seven foot great white so I know exactly what ate my um flathead but yeah

01:22mind-blowing so but to see a great white in four and a half meters of water at least seven

01:30to eight feet with the girth on it what it was just blows my mind that's the second great white

01:36I've ever got to witness firsthand on my boat so the um the first one I got to pat its nose and

01:44that was um when I was down Jervis Bay at the banks and I've got that on my YouTube in one of

01:49my shorts if you ever want to go back and watch it but this would definitely be another video made

01:55to say four and a half meters of water 17.5 degree in the basin 600 meters off land um yeah freaks

02:05me out a bit hopefully I've got a bit on video because I put a couple of put a GoPro in the water

02:12and I had one on my head so hopefully I've got some footage to show people um
