00:00I'm Laura Hatherley, I'm the very proud Assistant Principal Mission here at
00:03Joey's in Port Macquarie and today we're celebrating St. Joseph's Feast Day and
00:08we're doing it this year by combining it with our annual fundraiser for Project
00:13Compassion. This year we're asking our students and our community, our teachers
00:17to get involved in the Walk for Water Challenge for Project Compassion and
00:22we're doing that to build empathy in our students and our community, to know that
00:26there are communities in the world that are less fortunate than us and don't
00:30have access to clean water or water tanks so our students are walking laps
00:35of the oval and the cross-country track with buckets of water to feel like, to
00:40feel and to know what that's like for less fortunate children. As a staff we're
00:45committing to not putting these buckets down so we're building community to
00:48support other communities around the world.
