00:00So Dr Gordon, if you had to say something to get someone to come and get a skin
00:05check done, what would you say to them? That's a great question Liz. So having a
00:10skin check is something that some people might be a little bit embarrassed about.
00:13It involves undressing down to your broad undies and I would say it'd be
00:20really unfortunate if someone had a bad health outcome or even died because of
00:23embarrassment. Personally, I have been working as a skin cancer doctor for two
00:29years when I got my first ever skin check and I was quite surprised that I
00:34actually had a melanoma that I didn't know about on my back and it was only
00:37because I went for a routine skin check that I found out about that. Fortunately
00:42it was diagnosed at the early stages and it was fully treated but had I not done
00:46that there's a chance that maybe you and I wouldn't have this conversation today.
