A look ahead to the windows under the new ownership at EFC.

00:00Well, looking at Everton and obviously the freaking group takeover, now we've discussed
00:04a number of times the sort of key priorities that they have to do when they first come
00:09in and sort of the longevity of how long it's taken to sort this takeover. You know, the
00:16deal is done. What will it mean for January now? Obviously, a number of times Sean Dyche
00:21has spoken about the strict sort of conditions they've had in transfer windows. You know,
00:27they've obviously got four loan players in the summer, the most of any Premier League
00:31team and relying on free transfers and loan deals. What does it sort of mean for January
00:37and even looking ahead to the summer for Everton with these new owners?
00:42For January, Sean Dyche thinks that it doesn't mean a lot because Everton is still governed
00:47by profits and sustainability rules. Of course, they were hit with, you know, an eight-point
00:52deduction for two separate breaches last season. The rules are still the same. Clubs
00:59can only lose a total of £105 million over a three-year period and Everton have got to
01:05be careful when it comes to that again. So, the financial situation of the club is looking
01:10a lot better. I'm sure if the freaking group could go off and sign three, four players,
01:15then they would do. But I think there'll be a little bit of prudence as well going forwards
01:20and I don't think they'll be looking to splash the cash really. There'll be one signings
01:26that are going to improve the team for now and for the future. We've discussed it before,
01:32Sean Dyche's long-term future is up in the air as things stand. There's not too many
01:41people who expect him to end a new deal. So, will the freaking group want to go and spend
01:47so much money on a player who won't fit into Sean Dyche's style or won't be playing? Or
01:53do they look at this and think, well, let's spend a little bit less and get players in
01:58who can help this campaign? So, yeah, as I say, there's not going to be a load of money
02:05to spend. We've discussed the area of the pitch that Everton could do with improvements,
02:11a left, another left back and a real pacey right-sided forward would be high on the agenda.
02:20But it's whether Everton can get those in. Can they get the players? There's no loan spots,
02:28I don't think, available. So, these have to be looking at players who maybe clubs want a bit
02:33of a lower down payment for to help with PSR. So, a little bit frustrating for supporters,
02:38but I think they just have to accept that and hopefully the situation,
02:42the PSR situation gets better as time goes on.
