00:00A tasteful Christmas for some of Hungary's most vulnerable. On Wednesday, more than 2,500
00:08hot meals were distributed by Krishna devotees in Hungary to the less privileged at homeless
00:13shelters and parks. At Nepliget, the biggest park in Budapest, the Hungarian capital, about
00:201,500 people, including middle-class families, benefited from the Christmas Day charity celebration.
00:30I came here because I was offered help. I have some food again, and the problem is that
00:37we are getting into alcoholism at the same time.
00:40The Christmas Campaign for Food for Life charity runs for two months from December to January
00:46with the goal of reaching about 10,000 people in need. Officials from the group say the days
00:52after Christmas Eve are the busiest due to low donations.
00:56The starvation costs, the constantly increasing inflation and the low social benefits
01:02are causing more and more people to stay in Nepliget. But fortunately, the citizens,
01:08even the homeless, can have a little bit of Christmas.
