00:00The government of Malaysia has implemented a scheme to celebrate the New Year every year.
00:10This year is the fourth time we have implemented this scheme,
00:16after the Chinese New Year, after the fasting day in Pali, and the fourth time is on Christmas.
00:23For this year, we have nine items in the price control for this year,
00:29starting from today, 23rd December 2024 until 27th December 2024.
00:34Including the price control for Grade A, B and C.
00:42Today, we have held a walkabout to see the time related to the implementation of the price control scheme
00:51at Jai Gorosa Eco Galleria.
00:53We would like to remind all businesses, whether in Runcik or Borong,
00:59that the price control scheme has been implemented starting today.
01:03We hope that all businesses can comply with the laws that have been set,
01:08and we will all do our part to help Malaysians during this holiday, Christmas 2024.
01:17For this year, have there been any violations?
01:21For this year, as many as 1,708 inspections have been made during the price control scheme
01:30for the Chinese New Year, for the fasting day, and also for Diwali.
01:34And from those 1,708 inspections, we have been able to produce a total of 26 cases,
01:42which are compounded with the value of RM5,100.
01:49For the previous 26 cases, were there any violations?
01:57Yes, there were 26 violations, as mentioned earlier, and the total number of cases.
02:05From the total number of cases, the 23rd case is that they forgot to put the tag pink,
02:13because when we implement the price control scheme, we will remind the businesses
02:19so that there is a different price sign in pink, so that the buyers or local residents
02:28can be sure which product is being priced.
02:32And 2 cases is that they did not put a price sign, and 1 case is that they sold over the price control.
02:3926 cases with a compound value of RM5,100 for the state of Johor.
02:45Ensuring the supply of the products needed during the fasting day is a responsibility
02:52that the government and the state government always take into consideration.
02:58For the state of Johor, we always cooperate with the Farmer's Association
03:06and also with the business sector, together with the Government of Johor.
03:11If there is any shortage of supplies, we will look into it.
03:16Because when there is a shortage in an area, we can help from other areas.
03:22If there is any shortage of supplies, we ask the public to report to the Cabinet of Johor
03:30through the network that we provide, via WhatsApp, official email, Facebook, etc.
03:36so that we can make an intervention if needed.
