Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali on Thursday (Dec 21) said that a total of 14 "hot" items have been listed as controlled goods during the Christmas period.

He said the prices would be in effect from Saturday to Wednesday (Dec 23 to Dec 27).

00:24 Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Armizan said the prizes would be in effect from December
00:29 23rd till the 27th.
00:31 He added that those who wish to sell these items below the ceiling price may do so.
00:36 He also urged the public to report sellers found exceeding the ceiling price by contacting
00:41 the Ministry.
00:42 Such offenders can be fined up to RM100,000 or jailed up to three years or both or issued
00:48 a 50,000 compound notice.
