00:00Guys, welcome back to Tasty Tailgating presented by Pepsi.
00:03Today, we're making fudge.
00:05Let's get cooking.
00:05All right, guys, for this peanut butter fudge,
00:12it's very easy.
00:13It's three things.
00:13We have peanut butter, about a cup of peanut butter.
00:16We have three cups of powdered sugar.
00:18And we have two sticks of butter and some vanilla extract.
00:20We'll put a little salt in there.
00:21That is it.
00:22That's how easy this one is.
00:23So if you have a last minute Christmas party you're going to,
00:26or you want to make something that looks like you put a lot of effort in,
00:28make this.
00:29And it'll turn out great.
00:30It's better than anything you're going to buy.
00:31So two sticks of butter go in.
00:32We're going to get these melted.
00:33And you can even do this completely if you want.
00:35You could do this in the microwave.
00:36You could microwave the peanut butter and the butter together
00:39if you really want to go super easy.
00:41And this is actually, I got this from I don't know how many years ago.
00:43Remember, Alton Brown Goat used to do the show Serious Eats.
00:47This was an old Serious Eats episode.
00:49I've been making it ever since for Christmas.
00:51Why?
00:51Because fudge is annoying to make.
00:53And don't get me wrong.
00:53Chocolate fudge, great, delicious.
00:55But this tastes just as good.
00:57And it's so easy.
00:58So shout out Alton Brown, one of the all-time legends.
01:02And we'll let that just melt and combine.
01:04While that's going, I'm just going to grease up a little cake tin here
01:08with some butter.
01:09And then right in there goes some parchment paper.
01:14And you want it a little longer on the sides
01:16because we're going to fold it on top at the end here.
01:19So that's all set.
01:21I'm going to put a little bit more butter now on the parchment paper, too.
01:24This is so everything slides nicely.
01:27OK, once that peanut butter and butter have melted completely together,
01:31it's going to be about like three to five minutes.
01:33You want it to be warm, too.
01:34It's going to smell amazing.
01:36Peanut butter and butter, a nice smell.
01:38Then we're going to slowly start to whisk.
01:39Take it off the heat.
01:40We're going to whisk in our powdered sugar.
01:45OK, I'm going to transfer this to a mixing bowl now.
01:50And really, for the best results, you want
01:52to sift in your powdered sugar bit by bit.
01:56So start with like a spoonful.
01:58Get that in there.
02:00You're just trying to avoid all the pieces like that
02:02that might be hard in your powdered sugar.
02:04That's not what you want.
02:08And it's going to become a pretty thick mixture.
02:10That's totally fine.
02:11Don't worry.
02:12Don't freak out.
02:13Keep stirring until you get it all combined.
02:15That's what you're looking for right there, that kind of consistency.
02:17Forgot this earlier.
02:18Can't believe it.
02:19A little bit of vanilla extract, about a teaspoon.
02:22Should have gone in before, but I'll stir it in.
02:24We'll be fine.
02:25A little bit of salt as well.
02:27OK.
02:29Into that cake tin, pull the parchment paper up.
02:36Now, you're going to want to spread this out.
02:38Try to get an even layer.
02:45And then to get the really smooth top, just take the parchment paper,
02:49fold it over, and kind of just pat it down like this.
02:54That's going to kind of even everything out.
02:56OK.
02:56Now, we pop this in the fridge for like two hours,
02:58and we'll have our peanut butter fudge.
03:00It's that easy.
03:01OK.
03:01Our fudge has been setting out for about two hours now in the fridge.
03:05Give it like a second to warm up.
03:09Or just pull nicely.
03:10OK.
03:11And there we go.
03:13Flip this over.
03:15We have a nice block here of peanut butter fudge.
03:20Now, we're going to slice it.
03:22Find the center.
03:25This is pretty rich, so you don't need to go crazy with sizes.
03:27So I like to do roughly the same shape.
03:37But now, if you want, you can put it in an old cookie
03:39tin for your Christmas party.
03:41I'm just going to stack it high on this.
03:43And we'll let the office just kind of take over.
03:46This is very, I mean, it's fudge, so it's very, very rich, peanut buttery.
03:52But here, there you go.
03:53That's your finished product.
03:54It's so easy to do, guys.
03:55It's three ingredients.
03:56You heat up peanut butter and butter and some sugar,
03:59and you're left with a foolproof, very easy fudge for a last minute holiday
04:02party.
04:03Cheers.
04:03Mm.
04:04Very good.
04:05All right, guys, and there you go, your peanut butter fudge.
04:07It's that easy to do.
04:08But remember, every crave-worthy bite is better with Pepsi.
04:11Guys, that's going to do it for this episode.
04:14See you guys next time.
04:15Cheers.
04:15Oh, that's good.
04:16Oh, that's good.
04:17Oh, that's good.
04:18Oh, that's good.
04:19Oh, that's good.
04:20Oh, that's good.
04:21Oh, that's good.
04:22Oh, that's good.
04:23Oh, that's good.
04:24Oh, that's good.
04:25Oh, that's good.
04:26Oh, that's good.
04:27Oh, that's good.
04:28Oh, that's good.
04:29Oh, that's good.
04:30Oh, that's good.
04:31Oh, that's good.
04:32Oh, that's good.
04:33Oh, that's good.
04:34Oh, that's good.
04:35Oh, that's good.
04:36Oh, that's good.
04:37Oh, that's good.
04:38Oh, that's good.
04:39Oh, that's good.
04:40Oh, that's good.
04:41Oh, that's good.
