00:59The money-printed figures have already been replaced.

01:03The new money contains the animals and plants

01:06that can be found in the Philippines.

01:08It reflects the rich biodiversity of our country.

01:12The Php 1,000 has already been printed.

01:17The Visayan Spotted Deer is included in the new Php 500.

01:21The Palawang Peacock is included in the Php 100.

01:24While the Visayan Leopard Cat is included in the Php 50.

01:29The new covers are made of polymer or plastic.

01:32Like the Php 1,000 that was released in 2022.

01:36It is more durable because it is not easily torn or wet.

01:39It is also said to last for more than 7 years.

01:43It is safer because it has advanced security features

01:46like the hologram.

01:48It is not easy to catch the virus and is eco-friendly

01:51because it can be recycled.

01:56reflects the progress we are making as a Bagong Pilipinas.

02:04By upgrading our currency,

02:06we are making sure that every hard-earned peso stays safe

02:15President Marcos said

02:17that the release of the new money-printed figures

02:20is in the interest of many countries

02:22like Australia, Canada, and Singapore

02:25that issue new designs of money every 10 years

02:28to avoid the corruption of the neighbor.

02:31Today, the Philippines proudly joins their ranks

02:35ensuring that our currency remains secure,

02:38durable, and sustainable.

02:40The release of the new money-printed figures

02:43will be limited this December in Metro Manila.

02:45It is expected to have a wide distribution by January.

02:50According to the DSP,

02:51the old money will remain a legal tender

02:55but can be exchanged for new money-printed figures.

02:58As long as this banknote is still recognizable

03:01and we have guidance here,

03:03at least two-thirds of the banknote is still visible,

03:06the signature of either the governor

03:08or the president of the Philippines is still visible,

03:11we can consider it for redemption.
