00:00Canloon City is preparing for the implementation of an off-plan exodus

00:24if the worst-case scenario happens.
00:29The Office of Civil Defense Region 7
00:34under the leadership of Regional Director Joel Aristain
00:38is already assisting the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental.
00:43This is for the preparation of the so-called off-plan exodus
00:46where all residents of Canloon City need to leave the city
00:50if the status of Mount Canloon rises to Alert Level 5.
00:55In our interview with the Mayor of Canloon City, Jose Chubasco Cardenas,
00:59he said that they need to prepare for the transportation
01:03so that 60,000 or more or less 60,000 residents can leave the city.
01:09For now, the Office of Civil Defense Region 7 is coordinating
01:12with all government agencies.
01:14They were also given 1,000 liters of oil
01:19and will add another 9,000 liters in the next few days
01:23to the LGO of Canloon City to help with their logistics operation.

01:40In the worst-case scenario, 14 kilometers radius away from the crater,
01:45almost all residents of Canloon City are engulfed.
01:48I told the Governor to prepare for the worst.
01:54If you run away outside of the circle,
02:02the welcoming community will be vulnerable.
02:07If there is a spillover,
02:11there will be a spillover in Gihulngan
02:13because there is a side of Canloon City
02:16that is already engulfed by Gihulngan.
02:19We are planning how many trucks needed.
02:22We are contacting private individuals to have a memorandum of agreement
02:28just in case worst-case scenario comes.
02:31To make mention, transport vehicles are also being contacted
02:35by transporting companies such as service liners and other individuals
02:39because we need for at least 150 vehicles on that time.
02:50Earlier, there was a spillover of lahar flow
02:54in two barangays in the town of La Castellana.
02:57This is Barangay Biak na Bato and Barangay Kabakungan.
03:00This is the result of heavy rainfall in the area.
