00:32Engineer, can you introduce the DOST FPRDI to us?

00:38What are your programs and how can you help our fellow Filipinos?

00:45The DOST Forest Products Research and Development Institute or FPRDI

00:50is one of the research and development institutes of the Department of Science and Technology

00:56where the DOST FPRDI conducts extensive studies in the use and transfer of technologies

01:04of our forest products to our stakeholders.

01:09Engineer, what is the significance of our victory at the Seoul International Invention Fair?

01:14And what are the achievements we have achieved?

01:19Ma'am, one of our great achievements here at the FPRDI

01:22is to be recognized by an international organization for our technologies.

01:27This proves that the technologies that we develop here at the FPRDI

01:34can be compared to other technologies made in other countries.

01:39We were awarded the Silver Award for our technology of Multifunctional School Furniture or Silyang Pinoy

01:47awarded by the Korean Invention Promotion Association

01:50where they were also the organizers of the Seoul International Invention Fair this year.

01:56We were also awarded the Best International Invention and Innovation

02:01awarded by the National Research Council of Thailand

02:05for our technology of Equipment System and Process for Treating Wastewater

02:10from Wet-type Finishings Railroad.

02:12Engineer, you mentioned Silyang Pinoy.

02:16Why was it developed and who do you expect to benefit from it?

02:22Thank you, sir.

02:23We know that in our country, in the Philippines,

02:27our people are always running to school

02:32whenever there is an emergency or calamity.

02:35This is the main reason why we thought of making Silyang Pinoy.

02:40All right.

02:41Engineer, what is this Wastewater Treatment Equipment?

02:45How does it help the environment and the local furniture and handicraft makers?

02:51We have what we call Wet-type Finishing Spray Boots.

02:54This is the machine that sprays the excess paint in our finishing process

02:59like in the furniture industry.

03:01This excess paint is harmful to our environment

03:06if it is not disposed properly.

03:09Our Wastewater Treatment Equipment

03:11is the one that cleans the dirty water

03:14that is sprayed on the Wet-type Finishing Spray Boots

03:17to protect our aquatic plants and animals.

03:22Okay.
