00:00My favorite song from the new album to perform is probably, probably whatever she wants, you know, and it really wasn't supposed to be on the new album, you know.
00:09Shout out to RCA and all the people that forced me to put that song on the album.
00:13But, you know, I get it and it's cool.
00:17But that was my mixtape song and I had a lot of other songs with that song that kind of matched that vibe.
00:22So it's a little bit random.
00:24But, you know, the Bryson Tiller album was about versatility, so it's all good.
00:28It made sense in the end.
00:29But that would have to be my favorite, favorite song to perform.
00:32I'm trying to add some new ones, though.
00:33You know, I've been, you know, I never got a chance to rehearse any of the new album stuff.
00:38So I kind of just had to, like, get right on tour.
00:40So I'm about to take some time and just figure out which ones I can perform and see which ones the fans want to hear me perform as well.
00:52I definitely want to try to perform Calypso a little bit.
00:57I'm not sure yet.
00:59I just kind of got to browse through because you never know.
01:02Like listening to him, listening to him is a different vibe.
01:05You know, you're like, oh, I like listening to this.
01:07But when I start performing, it can just be a whole different.
01:10So I don't know. Some stuff is just better love.
01:19First time performing whatever she wants. Funny story.
01:21So actually on my Back and I'm Better tour, I was opening up for myself with a ski mask on, performing whatever she wants and the rest of that mixtape.
01:30And nobody knew it was me and nobody knew the song either.
01:34They didn't really care. It was like, who is this dude performing these songs?
01:38You know, people were just like staring at me, stale face, performing whatever she wants.
01:43They might have liked it. Who knows? But like they was like, what the hell is happening right now?
01:47You know what I'm saying?
01:48So it was actually really weird and I enjoyed it actually, too, because, you know, it made me feel like a new artist again.
01:56Like it was like it was dope to be humble, to go out there and people like not fuck with me.
02:01You know, I was like, dang, that is dope that people don't fuck with me right now.
02:04And I was really nervous to doing it.
02:06But it was so weird because like then I come out, I don't know, 20 minutes later and do my actual set as me.
02:12And, you know, no nerves at all.
02:14I'm just like, OK, I know what they're here to see.
02:16Let me do my thing. But that was my first time performing whatever she wants.
02:20And now it's crazy because it's like, you know, they just saying it word for word.
02:24Like, you know, it's just like it's really dope.
02:27That's insane. What inspired that idea to open up for yourself?
02:31Because it was like a different persona, that whole mixtape, whatever she wants, even the vibe.
02:35I mean, you watch a music video, you'd be like, whoa, I can't believe Bryson is doing that.
02:40And that was just kind of like inspired by a specific time in my life.
02:44So, yeah, just kind of wanted to embody that dual character I created.
02:49His name is Swamp Tiller. And, you know, that was his first ever hit song, Whatever She Wants.
02:55All righty, my last question. What's the one song that you have not performed yet that you would like to perform before the decade is up?
03:02Before the decade is up? When is the decade up?
03:05You got like, what, six years?
03:07Six years? Oh, OK, cool.
03:09Definitely a song I made called Undertow.
03:11Undertow, really challenging song to sing live.
03:15I had fun singing it in the studio, but it is a very it's a vocally challenging song for sure.
03:21So I would love to perform something acoustic like that.
03:24But it's hard. I'm still learning stages and like I feel like still to this day, I haven't got a chance to really sing on stage.
03:31I'm just like what Frank Ocean say, autotune, zero emotion.
03:35Like I feel like that sometimes, you know, like I'm just like doing what I've done on the songs.
03:39But sometimes I want to get up there and treat it like it's like a karaoke microphone and just like catch a vibe and just sing, you know, like.
03:48And I haven't been able to do that yet. So I'm trying to crack the code.
03:51Performing has been something that I've struggled with since day one because I am a studio geek.
03:56I love being in the studio. I fell in love with the art of making songs and out of love with singing.
04:03But now I'm trying to get back into singing.
04:05When I was in Tokyo not too long ago, I went to some karaoke bars and it was just a great time.
04:10And I had so much fun singing. I was like, man, I need to figure out how to bring this to the stage because like singing is fun.
04:17And maybe it reminded me why I love singing so much.
04:20And that's how I got my start. Like I started singing in church and singing to girls at school and whatnot.
04:26So, you know, I definitely want to try to tap back into that at some point.
04:32Yeah.
04:33What's next for you in 2025?
04:35What's next for me in 2025? Billboard. I'm dropping a video game.
04:39So everybody at Billboard, I need y'all to check out this game.
04:43You know, it's called Brutal Industry. A lot of people think they can make it in this music industry and they think it's so easy.
04:49But I would love for you to just come try out my game and just see how easy it is.
04:54You know, get your start. You know, it's going to be super dope.
05:00I can't tell you. There's a lot of dope people involved. I can't tell you who.
05:03You just got to tap in, man.
