00:24Vincent didn't discover his voice and love of music until high school.
00:27His best friend asked him to play the piano in their school's Battle of the Bands competition
00:31after the lead singer dropped out.
00:33Vincent filled in, and that decision undoubtedly altered the course of his life.
00:37He then went on to audition for American Idol,
00:40where he received a standing ovation from judges,
00:42and Katy Perry gave him the ultimate compliment.

00:52Vincent ultimately decided to drop out of the competition to pursue music on his own.
00:57He went on to sign to Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds' record label, Night Street Records.

01:05on the Emerging Artist Chart in October 2021.
01:08He earned his first Billboard Hot 100 hit with Ghost Town peaking at No. 100.
01:14Next came In The Stars, his second Hot 100 hit.
01:16The song reached No. 82 and broke into the Top 50 on the Global 200.
01:26But Vincent's big moment came with the release of Beautiful Things.
01:35After building hype by teasing the song on TikTok and Instagram,
01:38the single's release had instant success.
01:42It peaked at No. 15 on the Hot 100 and later peaked at No. 2.
01:45It also hit No. 1 on the Streaming Songs Chart and ruled the Pop Airplay chart for four weeks.
01:50Vincent's first album, Fireworks and Rollerblades,
01:53debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200
01:55and remained in the Top 20 for its first 11 weeks on the chart.
01:59The album's second single, Slow Down, is climbing in the Top 40 on the Hot 100
