00:00I'm Yvette, and here are five things I will never do with my dog.
00:04Yes, and I am going to use this video as an opportunity to show her off to you.
00:07Here she is when she was a puppy.
00:09Number one, I will never throw a stick for her.
00:12The injuries that are caused by throwing sticks are horrendous.
00:15Down their mouths, into their necks, they can be super, super serious.
00:18Mandy will never be chasing a stick.
00:20Number two, although she loves playing with tennis balls, I will never use a ball thrower to throw one for her.
00:25They do incredible damage to dogs' joints, and the balls will always be dog-friendly ones.
00:29Number three, I will never feed Mandy a raw dog food diet.
00:32You can feed your dogs whatever you wish, but for me, the risk of nutritional imbalances
00:36and the risk of bacterial infections to both her and to my family are far too great.
00:40Number four, I will never let her get fat.
00:43We know that obesity can take up to two years off a dog's life, and I want her with me for as long as possible,
00:48not to mention the strain it puts on the joints and other parts of the body.
00:51And number five, I will always keep her up to date with her vaccines and her flea and her worm treatments.
00:55I do not want my dog getting really sick from preventable diseases.
