00:00The government of the Philippines gave a decree that the conditions of Indonesia will be improved

00:04in connection with the return of Mary Jane Veloso.

00:07As to where and what processes will be done to Veloso,

00:16It took more than a decade for Mary Jane Veloso to be imprisoned in Indonesia before returning to the Philippines.

00:23According to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin,

00:26this is due to the efforts of the government to talk to the Indonesian government.

00:30The Philippine government, on the other hand,

00:32gave a decree that the conditions of Indonesia will be improved

00:35in connection with the return of Veloso to the Philippine custody.

00:38Mary Jane will serve as a newly committed PDL

00:42in a five-day quarantine in the Correctional Institution for Women.

00:46Here, medical observation will be done,

00:48as well as medical and physical examinations,

00:51to ensure that Veloso's physical and mental health is in good condition.

00:56Veloso will remain in the Reception and Diagnostic Center

01:00for no more than 60 days.

01:02Fifty-five days here is for orientation,

01:06diagnostic evaluation, and initial security classification.

01:10He will then be transferred to his cell

01:12according to the resolution of the Reception and Diagnostic Center Classification Board.

01:17After the five-day quarantine that will end on December 24,

01:22Veloso's family will be allowed to bring him.

01:25The Bureau of Corrections has assured that

01:27Veloso will be kept in a separate facility

01:31with his illegal recruiter

01:33to ensure that they will not be seen.

01:35Now, Mary Jane will be under the jurisdiction of the Philippines.
