00:00Looking across 2024 for Everton, now obviously it's not been the greatest of years, had a
00:10few decent results, had a few moments where fans would like to forget, but in terms of
00:15standout players throughout Sean Dyche's side, who stands out for there, that has maybe had
00:22a few better performances consistently throughout his side, who looks like that throughout the
00:292024 calendar year? Yeah, if you look at the whole year, someone like Gerard Bramfoet,
00:37he's had his injuries at the start of the season, so can you quite count him yet in
00:42the whole of 2024? Maybe, maybe not, even though he was excellent last season and continued
00:48to grow, but if you look throughout from January 1st to December 31st, Jordan Pickford's been
00:55an ever-present in the Everton goal, and he won the club's player of the year award for third
01:01successive season. Look, I don't think Everton fans need to be reminded just how important he is,
01:08how good he's been, but yeah, he's been immense, he deserves a lot of credit, Jordan Pickford,
01:13because there have been times in the last few years when, probably because he left the club
01:18in the difficult circumstances, you know, players have, Richarlison, Anthony Gordon,
01:23Jordan Pickford have looked at this and thought, I don't really fancy this, I fancy going to play
01:28in the Champions League in my career, and he probably, there probably would have been
01:32opportunities, you know, Chelsea's struggling for a goalkeeper etc, but he deserves, you know,
01:37immense credit for that, and Adrissa Garnaghey, for someone who's 35, he's shown all of his
01:46experience and has now scored the goal last season that ultimately kept Everton up,
01:53with a few fixtures to spare, but yeah, he's been, he's been maybe a little bit underrated,
02:01to be honest, it's not everyone's cup of tea, he's not fantastic on the ball, but he does the
02:06difficult things, just picks away, picks up loose balls etc, and Ashley Young deserves a lot of
02:12credit as well, you know, 38, 39, he's probably been one of Everton's best players this season,
02:18played a lot last season, I think that decision to sign him to a new contract was a very decent
02:25one, despite his age, maybe some were saying, haven't you the past ways, but yeah, there's
02:31one standout for me, and that's Jordan Pickford. And obviously you mentioned there, just on
02:35Pickford, I mean, loyalty in this game is so rare these days, you know, you mentioned
02:40Richarlison, Anthony Gordon, they go for money, they go for better opportunities, how incredible
02:46has he been just in Everton's recent history? Yeah, he is, I think, I think if you're looking
02:52down in the last 10 years maybe or so, he's probably the player you think of when you
02:57think of Everton, to be honest.
