00:00The Keystone clash in the Commonwealth yesterday in the city of brotherly love between the
00:08Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
00:11Two teams that entered yesterday, each already with double-digit wins, each already in that
00:16top spot in their respective divisions.
00:19The Steelers in the AFC North, of course the Birds in the NFC East.
00:23Donnie, there was some conversation entering our Week 15 Sunday slate.
00:28Which matchup between two inter-conference foes would be more likely a Super Bowl preview?
00:34In Detroit, the Lions or the Bills?
00:36The odds makers would tell you that.
00:38Two of the four best prices to win Super Bowl 59 entering now are two shortest favorites,
00:44or the Eagles and the Steelers, just to show you the stakes of those two games.
00:49Well, both teams in those winning spots do so rather comfortably.
00:54Buffalo as an outright underdog on the road.
00:57Philly as a home favorite, making 10 straight for the Eagles, 27-13, easily covering as
01:05a 5.5 point home favorite.
01:07Total of 42.5, does somehow, someway stay under.
01:11Donnie, there was so much conversation this week, sparked by Brandon Graham, about the
01:16internal drama in that locker room between quarterback Jalen Hurts and number one wide
01:21receiver A.J.
01:23Brown.
01:24And despite a team with 10 consecutive victories, maybe some more drama for the Eagles on the
01:30sideline yesterday, but Philly wins to make it 10 straight.
01:34They now, at 12-2, are right alongside Detroit for what would be that one seed in the NFC.
01:41It's pretty impressive what the Philadelphia Eagles have done, and based upon what you
01:45saw last year heading down the stretch, most people said, well, just changing coordinators,
01:48even though you got two really solid ones, isn't going to make all that big of a difference.
01:53The Philadelphia Eagles, far and away, and Ben, it's not even close now, the best defense
01:57in football.
01:58And quite frankly, yesterday, the best two defenses in football lined up yesterday, and
02:01one absolutely dominated the other one.
02:03Yes, George Pickens wasn't there for the Pittsburgh Steelers, I understand that.
02:07But the Philadelphia Eagles, I mean, from every level, offensive, defensive line, linebackers,
02:12and secondary.
02:13And keep in mind, this was a team that couldn't even get off the field, first down, second
02:16down, third down, any down last year.
02:19They bring in Vic Fangio, and all of a sudden, everybody knows exactly what their assignment
02:23is.
02:24And also keep in mind, two rookies play in that secondary.
02:27Zach Bond was signed off the scrap heap for like a million dollars from New Orleans, who
02:32was supposed to be a part-time special teams player, an outside pass rusher.
02:35He might be the best middle linebacker in football.
02:38Jalen Carter absolutely turning it up, even though slapping guys in the head, which almost
02:42cost you a punt and giving the ball back to the Steelers, you live with that because he
02:46absolutely wrecked the team's entire game plans.
02:4927-13 yesterday, built on, we're going to bully the bully yesterday in our own building.
02:55I was so impressed to see that.
02:57Now I said once again, once they beat the Baltimore Ravens, I thought the Eagles would
03:01wind up with home field advantage, and the Eagles had finally arrived on the scene.
03:05These games, the way they're winning, saying, we want to run the ball game, we can do that.
03:08Oh, you want us to pass the ball against you?
03:10We can do that as well.
03:11The most well-rounded team in the NFL?
03:14It's the Philadelphia Eagles.
