00:00If the Panthers were playing football like they are in the last month plus, they might
00:08actually be in the running for the NFC South, almost pulling off the upset of the year yesterday
00:14in Philadelphia.
00:15But the Eagles do survive the scare 22 to 16, but coming nowhere close to covering is
00:21a 13 and a half point favorite.
00:24The Panthers have now covered in five straight, but the Eagles do win their ninth consecutive
00:30game.
00:32Winning is what matters.
00:33We understand that.
00:34But sometimes the way you win sort of gets in the way.
00:36And yesterday, my handicap for my favorite touchdown scorer was AJ Brown.
00:40And I said, there's no way Devonta Smith is going to come into this football game if they're
00:44missing a couple of weeks and score a touchdown to AJ Brown, not score one.
00:48And you saw the postgame press conferences where they have the mics in front of them.
00:51And they're right about this.
00:52The Eagles are a very good defense here.
00:54They have maybe the best running back overall in the sport, a great offensive line in town
00:58at the wide receiver position.
00:59And I understand they're doing what it takes to win.
01:02But let's just say you put Josh Allen on the Philadelphia Eagles, or you put Matthew Stafford
01:06on the Philadelphia Eagles with those wide receivers line and running back here.
01:09That passing game looks good.
01:11We understand running games are fun.
01:13Running games can win.
01:14But when you got to press it back up there, you should have a more effective passing game
01:18than throwing for around 100 to 25 yards weekly here, which it seems like Jalen Hurt is doing.
01:22They won the game.
01:24So, yeah, drop the pass.
01:25I understand you got to get away with some of those breaks.
01:27But you expected a prettier performance favored by two touchdowns yesterday than holding on
01:31for dear life against the Carolina Panthers.
