Mahigpit nang binabantayan ng PHIVOLCS ang aktibidad ng Bulkang Kanlaon lalo’t may mga senyales umano ito ng posibleng magmatic o major eruption sa mga susunod na linggo. Target nang magpatupad ng forced evacuation sa mahigit 50,000 residenteng nakatira sa 6 kilometer danger zone. May mga residente pa rin daw kasing ayaw lumikas kahit nasa Alert Level 3 na ang bulkan.

00:10Especially, there are signals that this is a possible magmatic or major eruption in the coming weeks.

00:18The target is to carry out a forced evacuation of more than 50,000 residents living in the 6-kilometer danger zone.

00:26There are still residents who do not want to evacuate even though the volcano is already at alert level 3.

00:31The government is preparing to raise the alert level 4 for the eruption of Jun Veneracion.

00:42Compared to the strong eruption yesterday,

00:47it seems that Vulcan Canlaon is quieter now.

00:50FIVOX said that only two volcanic quakes were recorded in the past 24 hours.

00:56But that does not mean that the problem is over

00:59because there are signals of a possible magmatic or major eruption in the coming weeks.

01:20The magmatic eruption yesterday reached 4 kilometers high

01:24which was brought by the wind in the northern part of the volcano.

01:27The ashfall hit the towns in Negros Occidental

01:30such as La Arlota City, Bagos City, La Castellana and Murcia.

01:36According to FIVOX, the magmatic eruption fell on the ground,

01:38was covered by the wind and crossed the sea in Guimaras, Iloilo and Antique.

02:13there are 54,000 residents in the 6-kilometer danger zone

02:18whose target is forced evacuation.

02:21Two critical areas need to be evacuated,

02:24La Castellana in Negros Occidental and Canlaon City in Negros Oriental.

02:29The issues that we are facing now,

02:32people are hesitating to evacuate

02:37because they are not used to these kinds of events.

02:48When the alert level 4 is raised, the danger zone will be 10 kilometers.

02:53That's an additional 10,000 residents that need to be evacuated.

03:13As for the signals that PHIVOX is monitoring to raise the alert level 4,
