00:00Contingency plans were implemented immediately to the local governments following the eruption of Vulcan Canloon

00:06while the Office of Civil Defense was prepared to respond to the needs of the residents.

00:19The status of Vulcan Canloon is still high in Alert Level 3 following the eruption yesterday.

00:24That's why the local governments are now implementing their contingency plans

00:28while the Office of Civil Defense or OCD is ensuring the readiness of the local authorities to respond.

00:35The evacuation efforts of the local governments of Bago, La Cardota, La Castellana, and Murcia are still underway

00:43to evacuate their residents to a safer location,

00:47especially since the eruption of Vulcan Canloon is still possible according to PHIVOLCS.

00:51Yesterday, PHIVOLCS warned the local governments

00:54to evacuate the communities within the 6-kilometer danger zone.

00:58In the town of La Castellana, more than 5,400 individuals or 1,600 families

01:06are currently staying in 10 evacuation centers in the town.

01:11As of now, the evacuation of our affected municipalities is ongoing,

01:19which are La Castellana, La Cardota, and Baguio City.

01:24According to PHIVOLCS, more than 87,000 residents need to be evacuated around the volcano.

01:42In the town of La Castellana, there are 10 evacuation centers,

01:46while there are 4 in Baguio City and 2 in La Cardota City.

02:02So, Tumulong Cinema Maylan, Ilog, Kawayan, Bacolod City, Pulupandan, and all others.

02:19which can accommodate up to 30,000 evacuees.

02:22Water tanks will also be installed to ensure the continuous supply of water to evacuation centers.

02:29The Office of Civil Defense also prepared Region 6

02:32with more than 2,000 face masks and 1,000 hygiene kits,

02:36as well as the water filtration drug.

02:39The Department of Social Welfare and Development

02:43will provide additional family food packs and non-food items

02:46for affected families as an additional assistance to the affected areas.
