Hirap mang makakilos dahil sa kaniyang pambihirang kondisyon sa buto, matayog pa rin ang pangarap ng sampung taong gulang na bata na aming nakilala sa Leyte. Upang mapagaan ang kaniyang kalbaryo at para suklian ang kaniyang nakakaantig na determinasyon sa pag-aaral... hinatiran siya ng tulong ng GMA Kapuso foundation.

00:00Although it is difficult to move due to his poor condition in his bones,

00:08the dream of a 10-year-old boy that we met in Leyte is still alive.

00:14To ease his anxiety and to satisfy his determination to study,

00:21he was entrusted with the help of the GMA Kapusu Foundation.

00:25Day by day, Jannette diligently carries his 10-year-old son, Dave, to school.

00:37It is difficult for Dave to move and he is small compared to his classmates in Grade 2.

00:43He was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a serious bone disease.

00:50It's a genetic disorder wherein collagen is affected.

00:55If there is abnormality in the collagen, the connective tissue becomes fragile,

01:00specifically or most commonly affected is the bone.

01:03There is no cure for this.

01:05Despite his condition, he continues to study.

01:09His father even made him a chair that fits his size.

01:15The 300 pesos they earn every day from farming is not enough for Dave to buy a wheelchair.

01:24He is really persistent.

01:26Even if it is difficult, we really support him

01:29so that he will not think that he is different from other children.

01:33As a partner of the GMA Kapusu Foundation,

01:37on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, on December 3,

01:43we went to Leyte to give Dave a new pediatric wheelchair.
