00:00The last year of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability has passed.

00:06A law that has no record has been approved by the Philippine Statistics Authority.

00:48regarding the misuse of funds of the Office of the Vice President and Department of Education

00:57For this day, the committee has raised the issue regarding the confidential funds of OVB and DepEd.

01:04According to Committee Chair Joelle Chua,

01:07aside from Mary Grace Piatos,

01:09up to 405 individuals have received or received confidential funds of the Vice President

01:16that has no record in the Philippine Statistics Authority

01:19or has no birth certificate and other civil registry records.

01:23Because of this, for Chua, the people who have been said to be non-existent.

01:29According to other congressmen,

01:31they have received new receipts that show that the names are different but the signatures are the same.

01:37This is an additional evidence in the liquidation documents of confidential funds of OVB and DepEd.

01:43Earlier in an interview, Chua was also asked by the media

01:46regarding the issue of impeachment complaints against the Vice President,

01:50but she insisted that they still need to study this.

01:53Right from the very beginning,

01:56I am consistent that if there is a ground, there really is.

02:03But my concern is the time element.

02:10So far as the confidential fund is concerned,

02:13we will finish the hearing here.

02:19But of course, we will not terminate yet the committee hearing

02:24because there are other concerns of our colleagues that they still want to tackle.

02:34According to the information we received,

02:36including the 405 names mentioned by the PSA that has no record,

02:41including Kokoy Villamin,

02:43who also said that there is a signature in the acknowledgment receipt of DepEd and OVB.

02:48They also have the same name but the signatures are different.

02:51Later, after the press conference,

02:55the committee will answer the other details

02:58including the fact that there are a lot of people who have signed the acknowledgment receipts

03:05that they have received confidential funds

03:09but non-existent for the committee.
