00:00The whole restaurant literally rallied against this woman.
00:04Welcome to WatchMojo.
00:06And today we're examining infamous cases
00:09of the rudest, most entitled people,
00:12better known as Karens, to haunt us during 2024.
00:16Here it is again.
00:17First, the customer throws the water, then the coffee.
00:23Ice, ice fired.
00:25To be a good security guard,
00:27a person should be brave and empathetic.
00:30Well, this person is definitely missing
00:33at least one of those qualities.
00:35Every time I come in here.
00:36You just stay away all the time.
00:38Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:38I wouldn't record for you.
00:39I don't give a damn, lady.
00:41In October 2024, Mike Chiedo was at a McDonald's
00:45in Madison, Wisconsin during the morning.
00:47He recorded a security guard
00:49with the Star Protection and Patrol Company
00:51going off on a furious rant
00:53that was far too early in the day to deal with.
00:56The unidentified guard berated the staff
00:59for the apparent slow service.
01:01He then threatened the workers with ICE,
01:03the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement,
01:06commenting that he hoped that they all had their papers
01:10before challenging others to fight.
01:12I hope everybody here got their papers, bro.
01:14We're done with this shit.
01:19Honey, honey, put the phone down
01:21and get me outside, how about that?
01:22Put the phone down and get me outside, how about that?
01:24When his employer was contacted and saw the clip,
01:27the guard was swiftly fired.
01:30Karen AF.
01:31First Forms owner is receiving backlash
01:33from local police unions and officers
01:36for comments he made about not wanting
01:37female police officers patrolling street.
01:40Andy Frisella built the nutrition company First Form
01:43and created the workout 75 Day Hard Challenge.
01:46His success enabled him to work closely
01:49with police stations in St. Louis, Missouri
01:51to provide them with cash donations,
01:53classes, and secondary employment.
01:56With that connection, you'd expect Frisella
01:58to be respectful of cops, right?
02:01Nah.
02:02In September 2024, on his podcast, Real AF,
02:07he and co-host Davion Johnson
02:09discussed the traffic stop of NFL star Tyreek Hill.
02:12During it, Frisella went on a misogynistic rant
02:15against women officers, stating his belief
02:18they shouldn't be in the field as they emasculate men
02:21and make the situation worse.
02:23In my opinion, women shouldn't be in the field,
02:26in police officers.
02:27I just don't think they should be.
02:28After receiving backlash, Frisella apologized.
02:32However, the police departments weren't satisfied
02:35and cut ties with the entrepreneur.
02:37I would like to see what the women in his family,
02:40the women in his companies,
02:41and the women who drive his business
02:44think about his comments.
02:45Firefighters starting race fires.
02:48Firefighters often must remain calm when under pressure.
02:53As Benjamin Guild demonstrated in a viral video
02:56in August 2024, he's lacking in that area.
03:00Why were you going 60 miles an hour in the fast lane?
03:01I was not going 60 miles.
03:02You were going 60 miles an hour.
03:03No, I was not.
03:04You were.
03:05After a car accident in Lodi, California,
03:07Vath Touch recorded his interaction
03:09with the 20-year veteran.
03:11Guild opened with a load of accusations
03:13about Touch's driving before going on a racially charged
03:17and curse word filled rant against Touch.
03:20Guild also seemed to imply that he couldn't be racist
03:23as he's a firefighter.
03:25Firefighter, you're a racist firefighter.
03:27A racist firefighter.
03:29When the Alameda County Fire Chief saw the video,
03:31he publicly criticized Guild and put him on leave
03:35while they investigated.
03:36Behavior is not representative of who we are
03:39or the department or our values
03:41we strive to embody every day.
03:42Door dashing slurs.
03:44Typically, when getting food delivered,
03:47it goes without incident.
03:49However, when Christina Derica got a door dash delivery
03:52to her home in Nashville, Tennessee in June 2024,
03:55her experience was a lot more eventful,
03:59but not in a good way.
04:00The driver placed the bag in front of her door
04:02before, for some bizarre reason,
04:05calling out a racial slur, taking a photo,
04:08then repeating the slur as he walked away.
04:11Unfortunately for this racist,
04:13his horrible words were recorded
04:15on Derica's doorbell camera.
04:16Once the video went viral,
04:18Derica contacted DoorDash about the experience.
04:22Disturbed by the incidents,
04:23the company fired the driver for his unacceptable behavior.
04:28Any excuse to Karen.
04:30Entitlement doesn't get much more extreme
04:32than returning to a restaurant several days
04:35after getting an order to complain
04:37that a single chicken tender was missing.
04:39Well, that's what Talanya Carter did
04:42at a Jack in the Box in St. Louis, Missouri in July 2024.
04:46Amazingly, and likely sensing her Karen-ness,
04:50the manager gave Carter another tender,
04:52but she wasn't satisfied as she wanted ranch sauce with it.
04:56So Carter spat in the manager's face before leaving.
04:59The manager followed to record her license plate.
05:02Carter knocked them to the floor, got in her car,
05:05reversed over the worker's ankle, and then took off.
05:08For this bizarre attack,
05:10Carter was arrested and charged with assault.
05:13Grievous in Greece.
05:16No matter who you are,
05:17if you turn up late to catch a flight
05:20and boarding has been completed,
05:22you're not going to be allowed on.
05:24However, Lefteris Avianakis, a Greek politician,
05:28didn't like being told no after arriving too late
05:31to board his flight to Crete in Athens International Airport.
05:35When news broke, Avianakis apologized
05:37and denied he was violent,
05:39claiming it was only a verbal argument.
05:42However, security footage showed him aggressively
05:44grabbing the phone from an employee and pushing them.
05:47Avianakis, who'd held various ministerial roles
05:51in government, was soon expelled
05:53from the ruling New Democracy Party.
05:56Bad baggies.
05:57We're learning more about what led to a lockdown
06:00at a local elementary school.
06:01When Karens are about to face consequences
06:04for doing something bad, beware,
06:06as they often lash out dramatically to save themselves.
06:10In September 2024, Shakita Barfield was called
06:14to the Welsh Elementary School in Rockford, Illinois
06:17to speak to the principal.
06:19However, during the meeting,
06:20several small baggies containing illegal substances
06:23fell from Barfield's clothing.
06:25The staff member picked up the bags.
06:28That's when police say Barfield started a fight
06:29and police were called.
06:31When the principal stated his intention to call the police,
06:33Barfield exploded in rage.
06:36She attacked the principal, biting him
06:38and even attempting to strangle him with his own tie.
06:41The staff member sustained multiple injuries
06:44but is expected to be okay.
06:46This mayhem forced the school to go into lockdown.
06:49Unsurprisingly, Barfield was arrested
06:51and charged with several crimes.
06:54A new racist.
06:56A judge who makes life-altering decisions for families
06:59and those with disabilities,
07:00now accused of making racist comments
07:02and using shocking derogatory language.
07:05Judges are meant to be the honorable pillar
07:08of the justice system.
07:09Then there's Kathleen Ryan.
07:11In August 2024, she was removed from the docket
07:15in Oakland County, Michigan,
07:16after she was recorded going on racist and homophobic rants.
07:20The recordings were made
07:22by the probate court administrator, Edward Hutton,
07:25who stated these bigoted rants
07:27had been going on for years.
07:29During one of her speeches, Ryan announced.
07:32I can honestly say that.
07:33Okay, I'm not systemically racist, I'm a new racist.
07:36Which doesn't make her look good.
07:38Ryan also criticized the Black Lives Matter movement
07:41and black people in general,
07:43using curse words and claimed they're lazy.
07:46Not content with torching her career enough,
07:49she took shots at hashtag me too and used a gay slur.
07:53Is Judge Ryan fit to be on the bench?
07:56Absolutely not.
07:57Clothing clash.
07:5864-year-old Alexandras Ostejkowicz
08:00appearing in front of a judge Monday morning,
08:02not even 48 hours,
08:04after apparently approaching and berating a young couple.
08:08Most people at a restaurant
08:09just wanna get their food and eat in peace.
08:12Good luck if Alexandras Ostejkowicz is there.
08:15In November 2024, Waseem Zaran and his pregnant wife
08:19went into a Panera Bread in Downers Grove, Illinois.
08:22Unfortunately, Ostejkowicz appeared
08:24and questioned Zaran on his clothing
08:27and whether he was Palestinian.
08:29When he said he was,
08:30the Karen lost it as she began swearing at them.
08:33And she specifically asked,
08:35are you Palestinian?
08:36And I said, yes.
08:37And then she started getting physical.
08:37She attempted to strike Zaran at one point,
08:40seemingly preparing to throw her hot drink at him
08:43before he blocked it.
08:44She even lunged at his wife before,
08:46once again, he stopped it.
08:48Most of the interaction was recorded by Zaran's wife.
08:52The police found Ostejkowicz at her home
08:54and arrested her for her hate crimes.
08:56The judge granted Ostejkowicz pre-trial release
08:59on the conditions that she won't contact the victims
09:02or visit the Panera where the incident took place.
09:05Pepper spray prayer.
09:07In August 2024, Uber driver Shoheil Mahmood
09:11collected Jennifer Gilbo and her friend in New York City.
09:14During the journey,
09:15the Muslim driver began reciting a prayer in Arabic
09:19while waiting at the traffic lights.
09:21Suddenly Gilbo lunged forward
09:23and sprayed Mahmood with pepper spray,
09:25completely shocking her friend.
09:27The driver tried to escape.
09:29However, the car was still moving.
09:31So he had to get back in to hit the handbrake
09:34all while getting sprayed more.
09:36According to Mahmood,
09:37when the friend asked why she did it,
09:40Gilbo stated it was because he was brown.
09:43Mahmood said Gilbo is her telling her friend.
09:45She's talking after a couple of seconds, he's brown.
09:50This is New York City.
09:51This is diverse people everywhere.
09:53However, she denied it was racially motivated.
09:56Gilbo was arrested for the attack,
09:58which she has since pleaded not guilty to
10:01and was fired from her public relations job.
10:04The father of three says he's been working fewer hours
10:06since the attack out of fear for his own safety.
10:09Hammer time.
10:10No one likes rising prices,
10:12but there are far better ways to deal with it
10:15than one guy did in June, 2024.
10:18Upon visiting the Taste of Heaven
10:20Espresso Bikini Coffee Stand in Seattle, Washington,
10:23a male Karen was livid
10:25that the price of his order had increased.
10:27So he verbally took it out on the barista and owner,
10:30Emma Lee, at the drive-through.
10:32After she handed him his beverages,
10:34he threw the water and coffee at the window.
10:36Here it is again.
10:38First, the customer throws the water, then the coffee.
10:42Lee wasn't going to let that tantrum go
10:45without repercussions.
10:46As the guy got in the car,
10:49she leaned over and slammed a hammer
10:50on the windshield like Thor.
10:51On top of being banned from the stand,
10:53he's also been reported to the police.
10:56Everyone around was very concerned for me.
10:59The subway savior.
11:01With a hankering for a sandwich at lunch,
11:03Gabriel Pizzulo walked into a subway
11:05in Indianapolis, Indiana in March, 2024.
11:09However, on top of the freshly baked bread smell,
11:12he was also greeted by a furious Daniel Saunders
11:16yelling at staff, throwing items and apparently spitting.
11:19I'd walked in and he was visibly assaulting,
11:23you know, throwing stuff.
11:24As Saunders went to leave,
11:26Pizzulo employed his high school wrestling skills.
11:29Afraid that Karen might be looking
11:31to get something to hurt the worker,
11:32Pizzulo tackled him to the ground.
11:35I didn't want to punch him or anything.
11:36I didn't want to hurt him too bad.
11:37While Saunders tried to bite him,
11:39Pizzulo simply held the angry customer
11:42until the police arrived and took control of the situation,
11:45charging him for his tantrum.
11:47Hopefully the subway wrestling hero
11:49never has to pay for a sandwich again.
11:51As for Gabriel, his reward, a free sandwich
11:55anytime he comes to visit.
11:56Karen's Club.
11:58Now, I think we all can agree that when our work shift
12:00is over, we want to get out of there.
12:02Karen's like to think everyone working
12:04in the service industry should accommodate
12:07their bonkers requests.
12:09In July, 2024, Sierra Monroe was working at the cafe
12:14in Sam's Club in Henry County, Georgia.
12:17Two minutes before closing, Adriana McKnight
12:20stomps in with her two daughters, demanding two pizzas.
12:24However, due to the time, the staff couldn't do that.
12:28Instead, they offered McKnight slices, which she rejected.
12:32When the manager didn't arrive immediately,
12:35McKnight marched into the kitchen and attacked Monroe.
12:37And when she comes into the kitchen, she swings on me.
12:40Eventually, the cops arrested her.
12:42One of her daughters, Victoria Wilson,
12:45who was pregnant, was brought to the hospital.
12:48Police issued a warrant for her arrest.
12:50I just feel as if we need to have security
12:53from the moment we open to the moment we close.
12:55Bus brawl.
12:56Police say a dash driver got into a brawl
12:59with a rider after that rider attacked her.
13:01Some Karens try their best to get services and items
13:04for free and then throw a tantrum
13:06when that doesn't happen.
13:07But the opposite happened in Los Angeles, California
13:10in May, 2024.
13:12A Karen got onto a dash bus, a free fare service.
13:16She then offered to pay the driver a dollar to use it.
13:18However, the driver declined the cash since it was gratis.
13:22Well, that caused Karen to attack the driver.
13:24Police were called and responded to the scene.
13:27Footage of the battle of the bus swept online
13:30as the driver got the woman off the vehicle
13:32and a scuffle ensued.
13:33Eventually, the employee got the upper hand
13:36and Karen's things were chucked at her.
13:38Later on, Karen was arrested.
13:41Racists in the sky.
13:43Airplane cabin staff travel all over the world,
13:46dealing with passengers from various races and backgrounds.
13:49Yet somehow, some can still be racist
13:52as evidenced by a video recorded in 2022,
13:55but which did not get noticed until March, 2024.
13:59The short clip showed a white woman, Holly Walton,
14:02mimicking a Chinese accent
14:04and offensively stretching her eyelids at the camera
14:07operated by Lauren Bray.
14:09Give me wine!
14:10Apparently, they were mocking a Chinese family
14:12who struggled to order drinks.
14:14Unsurprisingly, the video drew outrage from the public
14:17and their employers, British Airways,
14:20who called them in for a meeting and fired them.
14:23A friend of Ms. Bray's claimed the video
14:24was manipulated by a feuding colleague,
14:27so there may be more to come about this.
14:30Unleashed racism.
14:31In Los Angeles, California,
14:33dogs need to be on a leash when in public areas.
14:36Well, some Karens think laws like that don't apply to them.
14:39There is actually a California leash law.
14:43In February, 2024,
14:45Cindy released a TikTok of her interaction
14:47with Denise Olin,
14:48a neighbor she seemingly had issues with.
14:51As she was walking her dog,
14:52she noticed Olin's dog was unleashed
14:55and asked her to put one on the pup.
14:57Instead of making this simple law-following request,
15:01Olin went off on a racist rant,
15:03telling Cindy, who's Asian, to go back to China.
15:07We don't want you on this block.
15:09Cindy has been living in the U.S. for 20 years
15:11and doesn't have Chinese heritage.
15:14The video went viral, and according to Olin,
15:16the police spoke to her and she apologized.
15:19You understand English?
15:20Intoxicated and idiotic.
15:23When intoxication and Karen-ness mix,
15:26everyone is in for a bad time.
15:28In June, 2024,
15:30a very under-the-influence Luana Otoni
15:33attempted to get on a plane
15:34at the Belo Horizonte International Airport
15:37in Confins, Brazil.
15:39However, after the lawyer showed her boarding ticket
15:41and approached the jet, she stumbled.
15:44With that, the staff stated she was too intoxicated to fly
15:47and got her stuff from the plane.
15:49Did she take it well?
15:50No, of course not.
15:52Otoni screamed racial insult to the staff
15:55and belittled their job.
15:56She even attacked a worker,
15:58all while another employee watched
16:00and did little to intervene.
16:02Otoni soon had to use her lawyering skills
16:04after the police turned up and arrested her
16:06for her dreadful behavior.
16:08Mean in Mississippi.
16:10You know what's noisier
16:11than a child grumbling in a restaurant?
16:14A Karen yelling about it.
16:16In June, 2024, on her TikTok account,
16:19Maddie released a series of videos
16:21about her Karen experience
16:23while dining at the Mexican restaurant
16:25Jalapeño Grill in Mississippi.
16:27Even with the other diners on Maddie's side,
16:30Karen screams obscenities at her
16:32for having the audacity to bring her child for food.
16:35Some Good Samaritan customers
16:37even stood between them
16:38to stop Karen from getting physical.
16:40The whole restaurant literally rallied against this woman.
16:44At one point, Karen complained that the kid's noise
16:47made it difficult for people at her table to hear her,
16:50which they're probably grateful for.
16:52The lady was like,
16:53I can't hear over them effing kids.
16:55Eventually, security officers arrived.
16:57After she refused to leave,
16:58they detained Karen until she was arrested by the cops.
17:02Trad racist.
17:03The trad wife trend has been gaining traction
17:06in conservative circles.
17:08Teach their own,
17:09but not when they use their platforms to attack folks.
17:13I give my criticisms to all
17:14because we are all about equity and inclusion here, right?
17:17In June, 2024, Lily Gaddis was cooking something
17:21while chatting to the camera on TikTok.
17:23People looking for tips were in for a shock
17:25when she began ranting about gold diggers
17:27and then casually slipped in a racial slur.
17:30So stop with the gold digger.
17:31Stop.
17:32People reacted with outrage.
17:34And Gaddis' sarcastic apology video didn't help.
17:38Due to this terrible publicity,
17:40her employer, Roth of the Carolinas,
17:42a home healthcare service, publicly fired her.
17:45Gaddis later ranted about freedom of speech,
17:47which doesn't excuse someone from consequences,
17:50and later begged for sponsorship
17:52by using the same slur again.

18:11Fashion police.
18:13It's a rarity when the joke phrase,
18:15and then everyone clapped, is actually used in real life.
18:19Yet that's what happened in April, 2024
18:22at a restaurant in St. George, Utah.
18:24Ida Lorenzo had taken exception to Avery Leroy's skirts.
18:28She pulled it down without warning,
18:30using children seeing the outfit as an excuse
18:33and flashing her state ID badge as an authority.
18:36A tense confrontation followed.
18:38Later, when speaking to the cops,
18:40Lorenzo told them she got a standing ovation
18:43in the restaurant after this.
18:44Rather than give her a parade for her imaginary heroics,
18:48the police charged her with battery.
18:49On top of her legal woes,
18:51Lorenzo was fired as a legal secretary
18:54for the Utah Attorney General's office,
18:56a position she'd only had for a month.
18:58No one should ever go up and put hands on someone else
19:02based on their disagreement with what they're wearing.
19:05Can you predict what the most unhinged Karen story
19:08of 2025 will be?
19:10Let us know below.
19:11The woman eventually left the Panera Bread
19:13before Downers Grove police arrived,
19:16but she was arrested Sunday
19:17and charged with two counts of hate crime.
