00:04But Kev, for a lot of teams around the country, it's the
00:07off season which means it's transfer portal season that
00:11officially opens on Monday and we are already getting the
00:15reports of some of those big name stars in the sport taking
00:19advantage of this open exchange era and some notable
00:23quarterbacks highlight who we will see on the move this off
00:27season. The former five-star quarterback for Oklahoma that
00:30was benched earlier this year in Norman came back and showed a
00:34little bit of resolved and played pretty well for the
00:36Sooners down the stretch in the transfer portal as is Miller
00:40Moss who started the year as USC starting quarterback only to
00:43be benched for the final month or so and Jayden Maiava took
00:46over. Kev, of those two top quarterbacks, who do you
00:49believe is the more intriguing target in the transfer portal?
00:52I think Miller Moss is intriguing had the win over LSU
00:55still. We saw some big things out of him, but and look
00:59Lincoln Riley's not had himself a great year. We know that.
01:03But I'm not sure I want to take a guy who ultimately if he
01:07didn't get it done in link system Malachi Nelson went to
01:11Boise. There are people maybe even on this desk with Boise
01:15Futures that have won in part because Malachi Nelson's at
01:20this program. We got a five-star kid didn't beat out Maddox
01:24Mattson and it's at any point this year. Most of you out
01:27there don't even know who the quarterback on Boise is
01:29because we don't talk about the boy. Nobody talks about the
01:31Boise quarter. We don't look at Boise and think well Maddox
01:33Mattson's earned that job. No, they could use a little bit of
01:36lift at the quarterback position quite frankly, if it
01:38was available Malachi Nelson not winning that job is damning
01:42in my opinion and I think that I think leaving Lincoln Riley's
01:46insane quite frankly, we can talk at the quarterback
01:49position. You want to talk about defensive guys. You want
01:51to talk about winning? Okay, if I'm a quarterback and I got
01:53the chance to play for him. I'm not not playing for him
01:57Miller Moss makes that decision. I am not running to
02:00take a guy who ultimately didn't get it done with Lincoln
02:02right now. I'm with you. I think the leadership perspective
02:05as well as another reason potentially that Miller Moss
02:08lost that job when they lose on the road to Maryland. There
02:11were games where the game was on the line that Penn State
02:14they had Penn State dead dead to rights and can't pull that
02:17ball game out in the fourth quarter in your house, you
02:20know, that was a reason I think that you know, maybe the team
02:23and and the staff moved away from Miller Moss, but out of
02:26both of those quarterbacks Jackson Arnold to me. I've
02:28watched Jackson Arnold held the football way too long and I
02:32know there were wide receiver issues top five wide receivers
02:35down multiple games felt the pressure didn't break contained
02:39didn't throw multiple sacks. So if we're talking both of those
02:43guys Moss definitely over Arnold, but I would take the
02:46two mobile quarterbacks Dan Pierre and Salter over
02:49everybody. It is interesting. We'll talk about both of those
02:52guys in just a moment. I don't know necessarily how the
02:55recruitment process went for Jackson Arnold as one of those
02:58five best quarterbacks in the 2023 class. I would have to
03:01imagine in port that very early on Lincoln Riley was involved
03:05when he was at OU might a swap to LA benefit the athletic
03:10Jackson Arnold Connor Wig Wigman in the transfer portal. I
03:14would stay away personally Devin Dampier and Caden Salter
03:18two very experienced and athletic quarterbacks at the
03:21group of five level are also in the transport something about
03:24Wigman. Yeah, I'll say this. Kyle McCord went to Syracuse
03:28won nine games and finished top two and haunt Kyle McCord
03:31was terrible at Ohio State. He was was not took a lot of the
03:35blame for an Ohio State team. I was not great last year. I
03:38think I'll be honest with you. I think that's revisionist
03:40history because Ohio State lost to Michigan Kyle Kyle McCord
03:43was rightfully ran out of Columbus. He was terrible.
