00:00A truck loaded with copra was damaged in Antipolo City.

00:05Seven vehicles were damaged.

00:07And that's what Jaime Santos is reporting live.

00:15Ivan, the traffic here in Barangay Mambugan in Antipolo City is very heavy

00:22because of the crash of the vehicles yesterday.

00:26The vehicles involved in the accident were hit by a landslide on Sumulong Highway.

00:32A truck was on the side of the road.

00:34And the sand and hollow blocks it was loaded with fell on the road.

00:38Next to it were three more vehicles.

00:41Eight vehicles were involved in the crash.

00:43According to Traffic Supervisor Ricardo Q,

00:46the 18-wheel trailer truck loaded with copra came from Quezon to Manila.

00:51When it came to the other side of Sumulong Highway,

00:54the driver noticed that he lost his brakes.

00:58The driver was trying to move the truck,

01:00but because the highway is a landslide, the vehicles were hit.

01:05In fear that the truck might hit the post, the driver jumped.

01:09He was about to jump, but he didn't.

01:12He was taken to the hospital.

01:14There were no serious injuries in the accident.

01:17The police turned over the investigation and the driver of the truck.

01:22The area was really accident-prone because the highway is a landslide.

01:27That's why the motorists were reminded to be careful on the road

01:31and to check the vehicles carefully.

01:35The truck had a loose brake.

01:37It was just in Metroview.

01:38The driver tried to use the brakes,

01:40but it seemed like it was slipping.

01:41There were vehicles on its side.

01:44All of them.

01:45It's a good thing that my driver didn't get injured.

01:48That's why no one died.

01:50I jumped because I might have hit the head of the truck.
